Must agree with the Exeter City manager Matt Taylor here that this sets a very dangerous precedence for teams struggling on a certain surface to now be able to move elsewhere.

I didn’t see anyone object to Harrogate playing their opening home fixtures at Doncaster whilst their 4G pitch was torn up and a grass pitch was laid.

I would however hope that Newport County are made to compensate clubs for the extra mileage in travel they now face. It’s only a further 20 miles or so each way down the M4 but coach companies will charge those extra miles to the away club.
