From the manager playing a negative one striker formation at home when we are bottom of the league to the eleven wearing the shirt that was embarrassing and disgusting.

They should all be ashamed of themselves wearing that shirt and im absolutely apalled at that.

Good job no fans allowed as right now they would all be getting it.

Agree. No excuse for not trying to go for a win in a game like that. Leyton Orient were nothing special and were there for the taking having not won for seven games.

Can't believe I've just shelled out another£10 on that absolute dross! - SHOW SOME PASSION FOR THE CLUB AND FANS!!!

Zero passion, zero clue, zero hope. With that and Saturday, we weren’t even that bad under Holloway and I really hate saying that.

Embarrassed tbh. We could easily have conceded 5 or 6 tonight. The line up doesn’t really matter as no quality and lacking in confidence Like against Harrogate on Saturday Orient didn’t really need to play that well to beat us.

My good lady asked me if I wanted to buy the match earlier
on this evening... no thanks... i just had a feeling... watching
Town at the moment is too painful , it's a bit like sliding down
a giant razor blade and having to use your balls for brakes...

Feel like like I've moved through stages of grief this season. Bargaining "We could still stay up and build on next season", anger, now grief. It's just depressing watching the team look half a pace slower, having no oomph about them and a manager who isn't making changes at half time when it's not working. Feels the same as watching us get relegated out the league before with a team that goes down without much of a fight each game.

Guess next is acceptance, that we'll drop out of the league for the second time and become a non league team again. Even if we win a couple of games now and gain some false hope I don't think we'll stay up. We've been on a downward spiral since getting promoted back into league two and it's never really slowed down. Endless numbers of managers and players through the door and constantly at the wrong end of the table. Relegation was inevitable eventually as we clung on a couple of seasons with changing a manager and a last ditch escape. It was bound to not work eventually.

I thought they were worse than that!

Quite an effort to not even provide a modicum of escapism over the past year. I'm relieved when the games are over and I can get back to the worldwide global pandemic.

Only (very) small glimmer of hope is that both Barrow and Southend lost so it is actually still in our own hands.

Having said that though we need to start picking up the points and to be honest, with this team, I can't see where our next point is coming from.

Thanks for the good news Les. I can't see this team scoring at all never mind picking up. I think we have to rely on the NL being null and void but even that doesn't look like happening.

I still believe the NL won’t finish their season 😂😂😂

For the first time I’ve resigned myself to the fact that we are doomed and are heading back to the hell hole that is the National League.

The football tonight was so negative, Payne is not a lone striker he needed support, Bunney is not good enough he is way off the pace. We where the home team desperate for points against a team that hasn’t won for seven games and managerless but we where set up so negative.

Where’s Hagrid?... Hope he’s gone to retrieve that free pass!

Really poor.

Real lack of urgency tonight. Happy to accept a 1-0 defeat against a team that hasn’t won in 7? And let’s be real, 1-0 flattered us. There is no excuse for that at any level of football.

Crying out for two strikers up and actually there was an improvement when it happened, it was just 66 minutes too late.
What makes it even more painful is the reality is we can’t defend well enough to keep a clean sheet so we need to score even for a point. Starting another game without a second striker would be managerial suicide for any manager in this position.

Seething.

I’m genuinely this close to flipping town off for a bit. I’d never completely stop supporting town or support another team but once the club very likely goes down into non league for the second time in 12 seasons (6 of which in non league) you have to ask yourself, what’s the point? What a legacy John Fenty is leaving behind, it’s shocking how the man is even able to get his money back from such a devalued product at the moment

Glad I decided to have a tidy up of the house tonight rather than paying a tenner to listen to that turgid performance and get kicked in the knackers for my trouble.

Think I'd be even more despondent had I watched it.

What's happened to Matete? He looked great in the first couple of games. Is it just the formation? Or is his confidence shot?

Likewise Payne looked half decent - and indeed scored - on his debut, but nothing since?

It's almost as if all of our new players have now been struck down with group confidence crisis.

The losses must no doubt be morale sapping but all of our players have to show some belief in their own ability, grow a pair of balderdash, show leadership on the pitch and have some fire in their bellies.

I'm bored of saying it, we miss a tough nut who'll run through walls and expect his team mates to do likewise.

Only positive from tonight is Southend and Barrow both lost but if makes not a jot of difference if we continue to set up negatively, show no fight or belief and meekly roll over week after week.

Let's at least set up to win on Saturday for Christ's sake.

Thread says Embarrassing and disgusting

JF will be leaving BP tonight and he won't be. The thought of £2.5 million will be burning a hole in his pocket and not having to read our comments (if he does) while sunning away the end of the season, getting his thick skin tanned, at some luxury destination paid for by the £200K trust shares.

Not sure if this is a positive yes to NL continuing to end of season, but it looks like it might be.

Hmm, link no work.
