Play Morais with one tactic , stick it on Hanson’s head.  It’s the only way we will get out of this mess.

Anyone but Hewitt

Can we just play our best players from the start as much as possible for the rest of the season. That's all I want to see. Don't really know who that'd be striker wise though.

James Hanson 20/21 13 appearances 0 goals

If that's the only way, we're well and truly fooked..

Time to throw away that out-dated and well-worn comfort blanket ..

                               Eastwood

       Hendrie   Waterfall   Hewitt   Habergham

             Morais   Rose   Spokes   Adams

                        Lewis   Hanson

I believe Matete will be rested, so have put Spokes in as he does at least carry the ball forward

It looks in good condition not well-worn. And it’s a tee shirt not a blanket. 😉

When was the last time Hanson headed the ball in a direction that benefited us? It feels like it hasn't happened since October 2019.

Matete shouldn't need resting. Him in place of Spokes in the above line up for me.

Hewitt.     Menoyasse. Waterfall.   Habergham
                                 Rose
Morais.     Matete.         Mizouni.     Lamy
                                Payne

If, and it's a big if, Matete can show what he's capable of he should be the one slipping the ball through to Payne who's already shown if you give him the service he knows where the net is.

Pretty sure he's third choice. Even though his performances haven't been great, I still think Bunney has the capability of being our best left back..

It won't happen, but assuming fitness, I'd go..

                         Eastwood

Hendrie       Hewitt       Menayese       Bunney

                             Rose

Morais         Matete     El Mizouni       Adams

                           Payne

Subs  McKeown, Pollock, Coke/Spokes, Lamy, Hanson, LJL, Williams

Waterfall a week or two off. Don't think it would hurt us that much, we've conceded enough all season when he's been playing. I'd rather give up a bit of aerial dominance at the back to add more pace so the defence can play higher up which will also push Matete and El Mizouni closer to Payne. Would also like to see Scannell and Wright fit and around the squad sometime soon as well..

Fair enough. But in general play I'm incredibly frustrated at how often he heads the ball nowhere near anybody.

Think you're right about Habergham but I'd rather have see him than Hendrie there yesterday though.

Dunno, but it’s a game we could and need to win.
New life if we do...

He had one of our only two attempts on goal yesterday, from what i would think was the only single decent cross into the box all game. Feed the goat and all that.

It doesn't matter what permutation you have in attack when Pollock is the top goal scorer. Their not gelling up front in anyway and as long as we score one more goal than Orient I'll be happy

A 35 year old wing back with the immobile Pollock and Waterfall covering him would be an absolute disaster.

Quite like the shouts for Hewitt at centre-back.  For his knockers, he would bring some much needed pace to the centre of our defence.   Think he'd have to be paired with Pollock or Waterfall though.  Having him with Menayese would see us battered in the air I think.

With his knockers he should be pretty good up front.
