Where is he?,  Is he still with the club, injured or out of favour?  Not heard about him for ages

Ok,  surprised not to see him in the first team squad

In each of Hurstys last few pre-match interviews he is seen training in the background with the first team group so he is either there because he is in contention or he is there for his experience for helping the younger players in the first team.

Admittedly, it would be great to see him playing again and in full flow whipping balls into the box for Payne to nod in

Ahhhh, we can dream......

Article on GrimsbyLive website today saying Hurst has told Sean Scannell he needs to improve his fitness in order to get back into contention at Grimsby Town.

Plus he said that Williams was now down the pecking order, so unlikely to see him again.

Good, good. Neither impressed me.
More Holloway shite leaving the building hopefully.

I wouldn't mind some Hurst shite leaving the building either.

Scannell has been a major disapointment but he was MoM when we won away at Crawley. I'd at least have him as a sub and bring him on for the last 20 mins of games when we are chasing a result, as he's got more quality than the vast majority in our squad.

I'd still get rid in the summer though, as he's clearly been taking the urine.

Total waste of a signing.

Can't help but think Scannell would help with creativity.  Can't see how his fitness has got any worse?

There are some players currently in the first eleven that don't either look fit or up to the task, I won't name players, as I don't think that helps anyone..

For me Scannell needs to be involved, however I suspect that Hurst has already made up his mind, he is not the sort of person to change it..  :B

All the players need to be involved it needs to be a collective, not a them and us...

It’s probably no coincidence scannel’s career seems to be on a downwards trajectory.

That’s working out well last game he came on and made a decent impact what are we 4 points from 27. For me him Scannell and one or two others should have stayed in the group for continuity improving by 6 or 7 players not bringing in god knows how many loan players and a squad who have no skin in the game for next year. Just a view hope I’m proved wrong of course !!!

Williams has been dire. He’s a coward, wont put a foot in and i havent seen him have a good game
For us. Lets not kid ourselves, he’s been flipping shite

How can some of these players actually be paid to do what they do  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
It's ridiculous. Matt greens wage of 75k a year plus bonuses looks good value compared to the likes of scannell and Williams. Some of these lads must be pinching themselves so much, they've ended up getting injured

Williams was good away at Orient but otherwise..... As for Scanell, he has loads of ability but is playing for us so obviously something isn't right.

Said a few times that I think Scannell should be involved as he does possess quality and has not had a chance to play whilst we actually have some forwards who can hold the ball up or get on the end of crosses. Just think his experience would help us more than Adams playing wide but it ain’t going to happen so let’s hope that PH’s choices prove good enough to get us up to 22nd in the table.

Two managers havnt fancied him now , quite telling that the one who actually bought him here soon lost interest in him so never really stood a chance with Hurst.
As others have said...waste of a signing....like Bennett...etc etc

Think under Hollowords he was injured, had COVID and also had his attitude questionned but he did show moments of genuine quality and that’s what we need if we are ever to score a goal!!

He's been a dud practically since day one e.g.  right at the beginning of the season something went on Holloway said as much, without specifying what.

Scannell not playing is not something I think can be thrown on Hurst, if he was showing even a modicum of his early career talent, I reckon he would be involved.

As for Williams he's been totally anonymous. Players like these are why we are in this mess not Montel Gibson or Jackson.

I’m not defending it but Williams had an horrendous injury which is probably why he’s so urine weak in the challenge

True, but growing up your always told dont dangle your leg about or back out as your gonna end up 10 times worse

A real fall for him to be in Wales 2016 euro squad to not getting in the worst team in the EFL

So have plenty of others, didn't stop them from being picked though.
