I've just come to expect the constant selection of Green. I don't understand it, in our position and with him consistently turning out average to poor performances consistently I would have been tempted to give Jackson, Gibson or whoever an opportunity.

Let's face it Green was a prolific scorer at this level but he clearly isn't up to standard anymore, it appears due to his experience Hurst is trying to squeeze the last drops of professional football ability out of the guy. It's like trying to write with a dry felt tip pen. He's just not up to it anymore.

with all that being said though...with the signing of Payne and Hanson presumably coming through the game on Saturday in good health it could potentially be a game where Green may not start. Would save me banging my head on my desk though  ;)

Don’t think Payne is fit to start though happy to be proved wrong.

What a great analogy the dried up felt tip!

I usually try dipping it in water - perhaps we could try that with Green and throw a cold bucket of water over him before kick off.

Throwing a cold bucket of water over Fenty before kick-off only seemed to make him worse.

A dried up felt tip pen would be disposed of immediately, or at the very worst, given a free transfer.

With astute management, a replacement would be bought, sourced from different geographical locations or one already in place to take over. 😄
