At the request of Humberside Police????

Don't they know that we've been at the centre of a bloody pandemic for the best part of a year now and are currently in a 3rd national lockdown.

Unbeliveable really.

I’ve never understood this - can’t the club just tell them to bolloxks?

More like Scunny wanting to save money by not needing to have the floodlights on.

Makes sense to have game earlier in the day just to avoid having the floodlights on.  Don't understand why we haven't played more of our winter Saturday games at midday to save a bit of money.

That is maybe true, but I doubt Humberside Police are concerned about our leccy bill.

Just seems a knee jerk reaction to a problem that doesn't exist, as if they are doing it because that is what they always do.

On the plus side, we can get all the depressing Town excrement out of the way early and then get on with our weekends.

Yeah, we can spend the rest of the afternoon hoping desperately that Southend, Stevenage, Barrow and Harrogate drop points.

That is the level we are at- trying to match teams that are perennial non leaguers.

Has been moved to 1pm on request of the Police   ??), must be expecting a lot of trouble, maybe Hurst kicking off a riot with Swann

No wonder people are rapidly losing patience and respect for the police.

If I was the club I would have just told them not to be stupid and put the phone down.

That's a little harsh on Southend.

Well Chief Constable Lee Freeman has confirmed the police haven't advised it...

It would not be so bad if we had a few Vinny Jones  in the team who would always be looking for a scrap  :( ;D

If only .

There probably drunk off because they won’t be getting any easy overtime with there being on fans in attendance.

I suspect the cubs have agreed to play early so they can all get home in time for their tea. As someone else said, statement copied and pasted from last time.

So it's just the latest in a long line of PR intercourse ups by the club then.
Embarrassing isn't it?
