Please sign and share. Fans have no other way to express their views and can’t protest in person due to COVID. So let’s show the strength of feeling with an old fashioned petition.

John, please take the offer and leave.

So if we get 1000 who genuinely won’t pay another penny to Fentyclub, that probably equates to over £2 million a year lost revenue.

Stick that in your pipe Mr Fenty

2 million?

That works out to £2000 per fan. Think you need to re-do your sums.  ;)

So there’s now almost as many people that have signed that petition as purchased STs this season...I assume those fans that spent their hard earned money knowing that they’d unlikely see any actual football for at least half the season are simply an irrelevant minority according to Day...

In today's sports section of the Daily Mail :
IT'S GRIM FOR GRIMSBY

No manager, a majority shareholder who is clinging on and a cobbled-together team of inexperienced youngsters and non-league no-hopers, Grimsby are in a perilous position. In a week which saw manager Ian Holloway leave and John Fenty reject a takeover offer from a London Consortium, the Mariners lost 3-1 at Morecombe to leave them three points above the drop zone.

Just about sums up they whole situation.

But according to Ian Runaway it's one of the best run clubs he's been at, we just need that bit of football fortune honest John keeps mentioning  ;)

Well here we are, bottom of the form league yet again.

It feels like home. But a home filled with the stench of decay, with filthy rats scurrying around the rotting floor boards looking for crumbs.

It is a haunted house, where the ghosts of players past rattle their medals. Outside hordes of inbred rivals pelt balls of excrement through the broken windows.

Inside we cower in our threadbare rags. Trying to remember if images of better days are recollections or merely dreams. While reality is a ceaseless nightmare. Hope has long since departed.

We know our fate. The present stands before us wearing the same clothes as once before. Our future is our past returning with vengeance. But this time there will be no reprieve.

Let’s hope it keeps rising to stiffen the resolve to complete the deal. Provide a bit of resilience in the event of any bumps in the road.

Assuming at some stage you have bought a house and had the nightmare of dealing with solicitors, searches etc. and the delay there can be between signing the draft contract and the final contract. Anything involving the exchange of contracts is never easy so no need for panic at this time.

We were told by people who know about these things that it can take 3 to 4 weeks after agreeing heads of terms for the transaction to be completed.

Also, this is the best offer Fenty is likely to get, so I can't see him walking away. if he did he would have to put his hand in his pocket big time to fund new players or else watch us drop out of the league. That would seriously devalue the club.

So I am not worried.
