Anyone with connections please pass this on

Dear Ian please see the poll on the fishy you have got the support of the vast majority of the fans, but please go back to basics I think you are trying to run before you can walk. Let’s go back to a traditional back
Four and two up front  and stick with it for the time being until your recruitment allows you to bring in players at ease with your ideas.
So this morning all this talk of walking give your head a shake pick your best team for Tuesday and provethe12% wrong. Remember even Alex Ferguson got things wrong and took a few heavy defeats.

And if he’s still reading..... stop using Covid as an excuse. It makes it look like you’re trying to pull the wool (in a particularly incompetent manner). It won’t wash. The Covid excuse that is. Not the wool. 😆

Think you have to accept that building a squad with limited quality is the major reason we’re in this mess. It goes back to limited ambition.

Ollie you are the best thing to happen at our club for a long time.

You don't need telling your recruitment was wrong but understandable as you have not managed at such a low level with little or no money.

Use the next window to get rid as many as you can who are not performing and bring in more quality and less quantity .
The fans are right behind you and I am sure you will make a success of this project.

We the fans are are fed up of managers coming and going so stay and leave a legacy you will be proud of.

Sorry Pete, but while we agree that we don’t need a managerial change, we must change the mentality. This ethos of satisfaction at League survival is tearing away at the fans. When fans are allowed back in, who is going to want to watch this dross?

A very good question, despite all the arguments, should he stay, should he go, it's all the fault of Fenty, Covid, JT etc  who would pay to watch the current squad and performances.

If changes aren't made soon one way or another then it might not matter on attendances being limited.

im seeing on here and on Facebook people saying they have emailed a personal message for Ollie.

Get a flipping grip will you, was you emailing the club with a personal message for Hurst Bignot Slade and Jolley?

I am not screaming for Holloway's head but why do grown men need to run to their keyboard and email a letter of admitration to Ollie? that is what little kids do not grown men.

act your age.

Point is I think his job is safe and he can serve up any sort of shite while matches are behind closed doors and will probably still be so when limited attendances are allowed.

However once the gates are fully open again unless things have changed on the pitch attendances are going to show something is badly wrong and questions must surely be asked, if anything can truthfully be blamed on Covid (not just why the team is crap) its finances and the need to improve those will depend on attractive winning football getting folk in BP

Holloway has to much on he's on the board has to attend all board meetings, my personal opinion is no football manager should be on the board, he's put money in so will need it paid back.

No assistant manager, just give Ben Davies or someone the coveted role.

Obviously signings not good enough Gibson Halesowen Town, Jackson Jr Folkestone can't get in the team, Sisay no where to be seen.

Holloway talks about bringing a scout for the South West area, but Spokes from Taunton, Jackson Jr Folkestone, Tilley was on loan at Yeovil, Windsor was on loan at Taunton in Jan 20, so I thought he has a scout down south

It is not covid per se, obviously, it is the manner in which we as a club have dealt with it. The covid clause in the contract is the main example, but as a club we did not seem to be alive to the fact that the season was going to start with or without covid, with or without fans and we got left well behind.

Some of that is Ollie's fault; he should have seen the drawbacks of the covid contracts and the slow start but when he says covid has hampered us, it has more than most because of the way the club is run at board level.

Mate, it isn't 'the vast majority of the fans', it's the vast majority of around 200 fans on the Fishy.  Anyway,. I'm still backing IH, I think he is the right man for the job.

It would be a vast majority for Donald Trump.

I get that Lew. But he should be clearer. It’s still looks like he’s trying to avoid admitting he made a mistake (I can’t believe that a decision like that was taken without him being on board).

The problems we have faced this season is the same as every club in the country.

How we have dealt with them is not the same.

So who's fault was that ?

He is in a very difficult position though really. I am sure what he wants to say is " the board insisted on a covid clause and that led to all my first choices rejecting me" but of course he can't.

I agree with you though - how did he agree to it? Surely the minute the first target rejected us, he should have gone back and said we won't attract players of sufficient quality with that clause so we must change tack. I guess he was caught between a rock and a hard place, seeing the obvious advantage of still having a club when all this is over, and perhaps delaying his real plans for a season.

Had the season been curtailed due to covid, it would have been a fantastic decision all round. Sadly for us, it has proved to be the wrong choice.

We have a get out out of jail card though - the January window. We must get in the players we need on proper money and Fenty will just have to take the hit or his money might never be repaid.

Yeah. I agree. He can’t really slag off the decision. He should just be clearer if that’s what he meant about it being down to Covid. We tried but it didn’t work out.

Hopefully we can get the squad sorted a bit in January and address the pay issues.

If it was bleeding obvious he wouldn’t have been questioned on it. You might be inside the strange world of Ian Holloway’s head but you’re pretty rare.

They certainly would in normal times, but not if the money isn't up to scratch or they have a covid clause in the contract they are expected to sign.
