I’m hoping it’s a shiny new stadium off Freemo but more likely to be a GTFC shop on the market.

You’d have thought as deputy leader of the council Fenty could’ve worn a proper suit...

He's not wearing a mask, typical football mascot, thinks he won't get Covid

New GTFC outlet on Top Town Market.........until they knock it down.

GTFC stopping using MM to walk through markets?

Surely its not down to the Council to announce plans for a new stadium? Its a private venture. Nah, cant be a stadium

Not sure how that is a covid safe trip around the market. Mighty is not wearing a mask and does not social distance as he passes between the person holding the camera and the guy on the other side of the walkway.

I’m sure I saw something about a club shop in town for Christmas (we used to do that didn’t we?)

I reckon it’s that.

Pop up club shop in Top Town for Christmas,

Unless it's another cardboard model and set of drawings of a football stadium...….. I've quite missed the nimby's ;).

Was on the market when he was walking round taking photos with a few stall holders etc. There is a club shop stall on the corner of the market, freshney place entrance where that old paper stall still is walk in to main market then first right, the club stall is empty at mo but all signed up so must be to do with that. On a side note not much left on the market mostly empty sad to say

We're replacing our slightly disturbing mascot with one that doesn't scare children and old ladies?

A councillor  is our New Goalkeeper.  They don't let much slip through  their fingers.

The trolley emoji on this this made me think the council had approved my idea of strapping the ex-players and managers who let us down over the years into shopping trolleys and ceremonially throwing them into the Freshney off Corporation Bridge. I bet Greenpeace got involved or something for it to be a market stall.

Due to financial constraints new plans have been drawn up for the new stadium on the docks:

I’ve stuck up for the club for so many things but if this is the best exciting news they can come up with then I’m joining the ranks of the negative thinkers

Impossible...our club would never be forward thinking enough for something like this...imagine the folk moaning about parking and stuff...

GTFC Official Site.... ;)

"We are also pleased to announce that the GTFC club shop will be opening a stall on the Top Town Market, which will officially open tomorrow (Tuesday 3rd November) from 9am until 4pm. Operation of the market will continue once national restrictions are lifted in December. The GTFC market stall is located in position C1, just as you enter from Freshney Place."

It just never goes for us does it, we get a decent manager in who creates a bit of a buzz then the season gets stopped, open a market stall then has to shut after 2 days due to another lockdown, you couldn't make it up. :)

Disappointing because we as a collective guessed right within minutes.

So come on people......who is excited? Itll be open for 2 days then closed for 4 weeks (at least!)
