Admitted early days but good to see proper clubs up there fighting to get back into the Football League rather than the tinpot clubs that keep cropping up these days with rich owners.

Wrexham struggling in the league though.  They also lost in the FAC yesterday, 4-0 to Solihull Moors.

Chesterfield are in the bottom 4.

(We are fortunate to get out when we did).

I fear that scunny  will never get back when they go down next year.   8)

Anyone know how long the likes of Stockport, Torquay and Hartlepool have been down there now?

Chesterfield & Notts Co are fairly recent, and yet Wrexham seem to have been down for well over a decade if not approaching two?

Wrexham were relegated in 2008 so are now in their 13th season down there.

Stockport were relegated in 2011 and to the Conference North 2 seasons later.

Torquay were relegated in 2014 and again in 2018 and Hartlepool were more recent being relegated in 2017.

Newport and Barrow made it back after much longer than any of the others, including Wrexham.

I'll happily see Hartlepool remain non league for years, proper football club (whatever that actually means) or not.

Hadn't twigged that Wrexham had been down there so long - they are quite a big club - huge catchment area, albeit not very densely populated.

How many did they bring to Wembley in 2013? About 35,000 wasn’t it, despite much of Wales and South West England being absolutely caked in snow at the time.

They’ve had quite a few ex-Town players there in recent years too - Pearson, Mackreth, Summerfield, Hall-Johnson, Yussuf, Jennings.

If I could pick one non-league club to come back up, it’s be Wrexham for me.

Feel for Wrexham, they lost two playoff semis and then a final back to back and then didn't make it back into the playoffs the next season. Could well have happened to us that. The first of those three seasons they got something ridiculous like 99 points but Fleetwood pipped them to the title with 100+.

Don't think it was anywhere near 35,000 as the official attendance was only 35,266 and I'm sure we had more than 266 there that freezing cold day.  ;)

The 2nd coldest I have ever been at a football match, The coldest was an FA Cup 2nd Round Replay at Halifax in December 1987. You litterally watched the pitch turn white as the game went on. At the end of the match the pitch looked more like a skating rink. I'm still amazed that the game finished that night. Oh, and we lost 2-0 just to top it off.

Wrexham were close to getting back up on three or four occasions but couldn't get over the line.

And the longer you stay in non-league, the harder it is to get back out.

I'd just keep an eye on Solihull Moors — they've got money behind them. I'd rather they stay down there and let one of the more traditional clubs come back up.

I was thinking when the draw was made that Scunny wouldn't relish being pitched against them

Now with an almost two week lay off ahead of them, their first game ( if it goes ahead ) will be this FAC tie

Bet Solihull must fancy their chances of a big scalp.... once they get past Scunny and  in to the second round that is  ;)

It wasn’t far from an even split, from what I remember.

I know a couple of people from Wrexham and I can confirm that they are very dense 😎

Wembley was freezing! My coldest was Buxton away in the FA trophy replay, I think I am still trying to warm up from that now!

Gateshead away promotion season was absolutely Baltic. All the town yoof without jackets huddled round the hand dryer in the toilets trying to warm up at half time lol.
