During the Covid 19 Pandemic, I have been sheilding, I stuck up an online friendship with Grimsby Pete (Turner).
Generally just supporting each through these uncertain times.
I had not contact with Pete on messenger since a week last Friday, I checked with Rob whether, Pete had posted anything on the Thefishy recently.

Finally
Received a message from Pete yesterday

"Not good at the moment Mark trying to get covid test as always hot constant cough and extremely tired all the time but all I get is none available try again in a few hours."

So Pete hope that you get a test and comes back negative, and you have a speedy recovery from your current illness.

Look forward to chatting again soon mate and reading your comments on the fishy again.

We need to support all our Fishy members at times like this.

Wishing a speedy recovery.

Thanks for all your concern it's heart warming.

Spoke to my doctor this morning on phone and he says it sounds I might have covid but it might be something else (Confused)(Confused)

I have to ring him again on Friday and report how I feel.

I have all the symptoms for covid  which includes the runs ( I did not know that ) I am very tired all the time so everything is a effort including switching the computer on.

So off for another test for a few days will report back on Friday.

Thanks again the fishy really is a big caring family simply the best.

Pete

Only just seen this ( though I did see Les' post about the you not entering the Icenian) so wasn't really aware of you not feeling so good

As you know I've not been as active on here with so little football activity but as you say, to some of us The Fishy is like a large extended footballing family

You in particular have always been a stalwart of this site so hopefully Pete, you will come back fighting fit once again

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that if you do have Covid, it's only in its mildest of forms and that you make a full and speedy recovery

All the very best to you and as ever UTM

Hopefully it's not covid, might be something you've eaten, a bad pint, or man cold

Speedy recovery Pete

Good to see you're back on here Pete.... hopefully the antibiotics will do the trick & you'll soon be back on the mend

I saw on your profile it's 12 years to the day today ( 3rd October 2008 ) since you joined up on The Fishy

I guess your anniversary celebrations might have to be put on hold though?

Hopefully you'll be back on your feet again soon enough to enjoy a Town win and a glass or two to toast it... surely that's not too much to ask for is it? (wine)

All the best & as ever UTM
