3 year deal, league 1, cant see how we could have beaten that if we were interested. Good luck to him

Good luck to him. Pretty good deal his agents got him in the present circumstances.

Nowhere near as good as Embleton in my opinion, nor the lad from Burnley who effectively replaced him when he went back to Sunderland

In all fairness, we've done well with loan players recently.
Embleton was class, one of best outfield players we've had for years IMO
Benson was also very good, and will have a good career in the game
Glennon is best LB since Townsend

But for me, Robson will easily cope in League 1, a very clever player

Inconsistent for me, could be very good, but also went missing as well,  Jury Out from me

Don't we have a thread to discuss ex players signing somewhere else? Dunno why a former loan player signing for Blackpool needed it's own thread  :o

Save it for when we actually start signing players which will probably be the end of August when we get the pick of what's left and whatever young loan players can't get a loan higher up.

I have to say I was about to post something similar, great at times but sometimes seemed to get lost in games.

His agent has pulled a blinder there!

I thought he was ok here, technically decent but struggled to impose himself on games too often.  His best games came towards the end of his loan spell when he started to put his foot in a bit more.

But for a player who was just OK in a (at the time) dreadful League Two side to get a 3-year deal with a decent League One side....Well played!

Don't agree with that. If any of the three CM loans we've had over the past two seasons were considerably better than the other two it'd be Benson over the two Sunderland lads. Embleton was a bit more direct than Robson but I think teams sussed him out quicker and of course he's way more injury prone. Robson was tidier than Embleton, more two footed and more versatile. I think he'll do well for Blackpool, they're putting a decent team together over there.

I’d disagree here and suggest the problem was tactics. That season Jolley elected to play a more direct style and the central midfield was often bypassed. His best game was Exeter away when Jolley dropped Hanson and Green, and we played the ball through Hessenthaler and Robson. He scored 2 goals that day and would have looked better across the season had those tactics been maintained.

One of Jolleys stranger decisions was to change the team and formation after that exeter game, we looked fantastic that day

Steady player - nothing more, nothing less IMO.

Nowhere near the standard of Embleton or Benson.
