Club in talks with the trust to recognise supporters who do not take a refund, how about giving supporters who don’t take the money a few shares

I'll take a 20 minute sub appearance in a pre-season friendly.

So you still want something for your 'money' then?
Just let it go, or don't. Up to you, personally I've written it off as it's out of anyones control and one of those things.

You get 4 or 5 games free in a season, so most of the remaining games are free anyway,

It's purely a matter of personal choice, if you want a refund, then that's up to you, but please people stop telling others what they should or should not do.

When and if preseason friendlies start, those not taking a refund get in for nowt, then they can have the choice of either Mr Fenty or Ollie thanking them.

I'm not asking for a refund and not bothered about recognition as long as we get back to "new normal" in one piece.

I won't be asking for a refund. The club needs that money a lot more than I do.

If anyone intends to accept a refund don't ask the club -they can't afford it-just ask Rancido instead   ;D ;D

Not asking for anything back. Have bought a load of stuff in the club shop too. That’s my contribution to the covid situation instead of donating to the crowdfunder.

I'll take seeing my club survive and a chance to buy a season ticket every year I am able.  :)

Scunny are not offering refunds to season ticket holders....

"Mr Swann said: “As we continue to put in place measures to safeguard the future of the club, we must be completely honest with our supporters that we are not in a position to offer refunds for season tickets.

"The value of remaining games for season tickets and other packages for the four home games that will not be played is in the region of £100,000, and the club does not have the cash resources available to refund these."

That's shocking PR from Scunthorpe. Had they been brutally honest with fans and said they were in severe financial straits, and would find it difficult to repay everybody but would pay those who did request it, they'd have had probably a 95% take up to forego the refund. Denying people their basic right of an opportunity for a refund will come back to haunt them in future.

Is it legal to not offer a refund?

You should listen to interviews earlier this year with their chairman, he clearly knows best in relation to everything, full stop, he must not be questioned.

Check the terms and conditions.

An example of another club.
Unsure what GTFC states.

“Where any match is cancelled, abandoned or postponed the Club shall have no liability whatsoever to Ticket Holders or any Authorised User in respect of any such match except that, following any cancellation, abandonment or postponement of a home match, a Ticket Holder (or an Authorised User) shall be entitled to attend the rearranged match (if any).”

I know a scunny ST really well and he literally sent me the link and just put the word ‘girl private’.

I mean that level of excrement PR is on a pr with ours. Aside from the numbers adding up, it’s the fact they’ve used a rather passive aggressive tone to suggest that getting four games free next year is some sort of deal...surely they get the odd free game in the ST when you figure the coatings.

I mean it’s been rumbling on here and the arguments about refunds, the crowdfunding and all that jazz for a number of weeks now but that from Scunny has struck a nerve I think. I’m the first to criticise GTFC (and let’s face it, many others are too, and usually justified) but even we haven’t buggered that up.

Regarding our, if a discount is offered on next years may be I think people may ride that over. Let’s not forget, plenty of people have found themselves in a situation which has required them to tighten belts. For many, a ST may be the first thing to go by the wayside, an incentive of even say £30 discount would help...
