Got to come up for a funeral on Sunday and will be staying in a hotel overnight then onto the funeral Monday.

Any eateries/takeaways open up there? Hotel does food but it’s all a bit meaty.

Trying to minimise contact otherwise we’d stay at my late mum’s house, but other family will be there.

Sorry to hear of loss, thoughts with yourself and your family.

Couple of restaurants are doing delivery services.

Heard really good things about Valerie’s Italian, Tredici and Healing Manor but they’re all very busy, so get in early

Cheers Brad. She’s at peace now so it’s kind of a relief.

Valerie’s would be handy if it’s open.

I ordered from there for a family member to collect for their birthday last Friday, they absolutely raved about it.

There number is; 01472 235556, order like usual takeaway and sort a collection time. All paid for online.

Spot on service

Cheers gents.

She was a lovely old soul my mum. She had a right mixed bag of ailments not least of which was her dementia. When she was more lucid she didn’t want to carry on. So a blessing I suppose.

Thanks Andy, Chris and Pete.

The odd thing is it doesn’t feel as bad as when my dad died. The dementia was difficult to deal with for the whole family so this feels like a release for us too. Sounds a bit selfish when I put it like that. Our mum was taken by the dementia a while ago so we’ve been missing her for a couple of years. Maybe the grief will kick in later.
