Good piece on The Athletic this morning with Holloway -

Most interesting quote was ”It ain’t about me, it ain’t about me and it’s in danger of becoming about me. And we’ve not done anything yet”.

Which is an accurate reflection of what’s gone on recently and almost exactly mirrors what happened with Jolley. Remember those DVDs the club we’re selling of Jolley’s 10-game stretch at the end of 17/18? Very astute of Holloway in recent weeks to start to pull away from all the noise and not get sucked in, good to see.

Only spotted this today, good read.

Full article below, for those who don't like to click on stuff in case it's all a big scam by a Nigerian prince!

Thanks Abdul. A good read and very realistic placing of where we and OH are at the moment.

By the way, who is the Nigerian Prince? Is he a Southend striker?

Does this mean our fans will finally stop singing his flipping name at every given opportunity and just embrace the improved performances....

We’ve had this feel good factor before...we need to ensure it remains for considerably longer than it has in the past.

There are wider areas for discussion in there but I suspect they’ve been covered before. It’s good to see a town manager being interviewed about football and some level of honesty unlike the usual sound bites managers normally speak in.

He's completely barking. Love it.
