I doubt Tilley will be part of the midfield three ever, the front three yes or wide in a four but Ollie tends to start new signings on the bench and bring on for their first match.

Like Glennon? He said Clarke would probably have started last week had he not been late in on Friday.

I'd have McKeown a bit more central.

Macca, Hendrie, Pollock, Ohman, Glennon - Hess, Tilley, Benson - Wright, Clarke, Vernam.
Lots of players playing together for the first time. Get them bedded in ASAP. Could go one way or the other. Let’s hope it’s positive! Sounds good on paper anyway.

No point picking your teams yet.
We'll have seven more players to pick from
at Ollie's rate.

Yeah, but he often wanders around well away from his goal ;)

No one seems to Hanson in their team. According to Ollie he should be fit again so I would be surprised if he is not in the starting line up with a few whipper snappers running around him and hopefully putting a chance or two on a plate for him

Hanson on the bench for me.
Chance to come on later rather than rush him back and risk another quick injury.
Let the younger ones run around and bed the new midfield and attack in together.

With benson only signing this afternoon I can see ollie keeping the same midfield as last week, I think Clarke will get his first start with Hanson on the bench. With Our lack of width I can see Tilley being thrown straight in.

I'd forgotten Clarke! A veritable wealth of attacking options.

I don't think anyone (bar Clarke) particularly impressed going forward last Saturday....so wouldn't imagine that any of Wright, Vernam or Rose are guaranteed a start if others are available.

If Hanson is fit, he plays IMO, if used correctly, he’s a great player to have

We'd just lost Gibson so not much choice there, just saying his usual policy which he said himself... but obviously if he believes can immediately massively improve us wouldn't be surprised to see him abandon that and thrust straight into action 👍

Uh? Thought vernam had a fine game, good movement, intelligent runs and good use of the ball

Lots of people dropping Clifton. Be gutted to see him out myself.
Think it will be him, Hess and another probably Benson.
Think we might see vernam and Clarke either side of Hanson if he’s fit. If not it’ll be vernam through the middle.

Think Max makes a great sub but don’t see him as a starter at present.

Good call Grantham, wonder if we'll see formation changes any time soon?

Nearly bang on for me. I'd just swap Clifton with Benson. Sounds like he's the type of midfielder we've missed

Agree guys looks promising that. Not sure if Hanson is fit enough for a start though?

Yeah was thinking the same. Maybe put Vernam up the middle instead and Max Wright out wide? still be very happy with that
Listening to IH interview last night he said about Luke Hendrie carrying an injury but managing it, Makes me wonder if he'll look to bring in a right sided full back who's maybe more attack minded/quicker.
Shaping up nicely though.

If Hendrie is injured surely Hewitt will step in

Think Hendrie could play that role in a more attack minded set up, with the team further up the pitch. Our full backs have spent too much time defending on the back foot in the previous 3 months, but i feel they will benefit from the IH way of playing.

I hope Hendrie is fit enough to play. I don't think it's a coincidence that our results have improved since his return from injury in mid-December. Hewitt adequate as a back up but not really at the same level otherwise (unless we can get him crossing the ball in as we did earlier in the season).

He can play on but they managing his pain with an achilles tendon problem. Ollie said they gotta be careful as if it flares up badly it'll be nasty and if he has to pull him out of training in the next few weeks and make him rest he'll do it. But right now Hendre chomping at the bit to soak up every tidbit of info Ollie feeding him and the team.
