                     McKeown

Hendrie    Pollock    Davis   Glennon

      Clifton    Hess    Whitehouse

        Wright    Vernam   Clarke

SUBS
Russell
Hewitt
Starbuck
Ohman
Buckley
Cardwell
Rose

We literally have 18 fit players available and Starbuck and Buckley are youth players. Our squad is tiny atm with Waterfall, Cook, Ogbu, Green and Hanson missing.

It's going to be a much changed team, and with 3 of the absences being the central spine I'd caution against expecting too much. Think it's going to be a bit disjointed and we will maybe just see glimpses of what Holloway wAnts us to do. Be very interesting to see if Pollack is given a start, looks like it might be a very young side

Seems to be telling a mixed story about Hanson in his interviews - wouldn't be shocked if he's in the squad

What I like is he's absolutely desperate to put young lads in if they are ready. Pollock is clearly ready and built like a man so I fully expect him to play.

He's signed Glennon because Woods told him our youth left back isn't ready yet.

Listening to that interview last night he spoke about when money is tight you have to be clever and sign players who can play multiple positions. Glennon can play centre back so I wouldn't be surprised if Öhman moves on to free up some money too.

Starting 11 for Saturday that I'm expecting:

McKeown
Hendrie Pollock Davis Glennon
Clifton Whitehouse Hessenthaler
Vernam Rose Wright

As as been said, I would not be surprised to see Hanson somewhere in the squad.

Squad looking a bit threadbare at the moment, with not a lot of creativity in the midfield but we are playing a side with a worse current record than us. Think their only win in recent times was the tonking they gave us at BP, which showed how bad we had become under MJ.

I expect those players available to us will give their all but we need some more recruits in this window, and hopefully those who are out injured will come back better for the second half of the season. As Forza says, don't think we should get too carried away until we get some re-inforcements.

With all the inexperience the fact Clarke the wrong side of 30 maybe a positive thing, sounds like he'll lead by example with his extreme effort and positivity in dressing room.

There's no denying we're a bit decimated at the minute though, and weakened further by Robsons return.

Time for Whitehouse to step up now and show us why we signed him and what he can offer the team.
If I was him i'd be chomping at the bit to take this chance.

Sick and tired of seeing this in many posts!  I'm not going to name players, but I suggest you google players over 30 and see what comes up.

Ben Davies? IH mentioned him in a playing role too!

I've no problem with him being over 30, need senior players especially with so much reliance on the recent youth graduates. Ronaldo doing alright!

He has done a job from the bench recently but he is a risk when he pushes up a la Lincoln mode and struggles to recover. Too keen to take a yellow and puts us under pressure. With Wright, Vernam and Clarke on the pitch, Whitehouse should confine his energies to occupying the centre and allow Harry to be the box to box guy. It's no good charging around trying to impress the manager and leaving gaps.

I thinks that's a tad harsh. He got over an injury that 30 years ago was career ending. A year out is a long time and It will take him a while to fully regain his confidence in his leg.

He has had 6 months. We can't carry passengers.

I expect us to play our normal 433

                     McKeown

Hendrie   Pollock   Davis   Glennon

Whitehouse    Hessenthaller   Clifton

       Wright     Vernam    Rose

Billy Clarke will be on the bench, IH said in interview he doesn’t likes to start new signings on the bench, but his hand is forced with Glennon as we haven’t got a LB
