Jimmy Mac has made some great saves in his time but none better than that last gasper

It's a good save, but why the hell was he on the edge of his box when they had the ball in our half?

I’ll be honest I couldn’t wait to see the save on the highlights but having seen it , it just looked like a good save from what  was a bad start position?

Utm!!!

He stopped it going in which is all that counts. That said, I've seen him make better saves this season already. Not too sure many of them have helped secure 3 points, however.

Think there was one in the second half which might be even better, when their lad got called for offside

Driving home from doing the shopping at Asda and the guy on Humberside suggested Scunthorpe are out to buy a new keeper. I thought he was great on Wednesday v Salford City. Could Hurst be back for James?

Absolute non starter, he and his family are settled in Grimsby, if he signed for the web toed brigade his life would be hell...plus he's just signed a new deal, earns good money and I'm sure would rather work for Holloway rather than Mr Charismatic!!

He's on a long deal, so unless we agree to a move, he can't go anywhere. Not that i think he would swap us for them anyway.

I still firmly believe there is not a better keeper in league 2

Why would he make a sideways move and cause himself to be vilified whilst approaching club legend status? Pointless, and I'm sure he wants to be on the the Ollie bandwagon!

Had he not saved it, he would have been slaughtered on here.

And quite rightly too He was way out of position why I don't know but he does have a tendency to wander about in his box, remember the infamous own goal when he was nearer the corner flag than the centre of the goal

But he did save it quite brilliantly and is now a hero because of it

Thought his save from the one on one they had in the first half where he just got his toe on the ball to force it wide was better!

How dare you question the New World Order when everything is better than it was a week ago.

Well its going mammaries up already

I was led to believe that we would win every game 6-0, Holloway would walk across the Humber on a scouting mission to the North East, he would turn three of our forwards into 25 goals a season strikers and Mrs Holloway would find enough loose change with her metal detector in the centre circle to fund the new ground

Yeah but that’s still going to happen innit? It’s just all those negative people holding things back, sniping from their keyboards.

Naturally folk will question positioning and may be he was out of position but it was a match winning save and whatever people think about Macca, we’ve all lost count of how many times he has done that...

He does play high up but that’s generally where goalkeepers play these days and I’d think being captain is forcing him higher up to ensure he can converse with the players etc...

He explained perfectly clearly in his interview regarding his positioning. Can we just leave it at that and applaud him and the team for a fine win.
