If some of you are doubting the confidence in the lads,  I was at the kids Xmas Party last night, and all the players were there, to sign autographs and chat to the kids, and adults., let me put your minds to rest, the banter was fantastic. The players were in great banter, laughing and joking with us all,and it was a pleasure to see. AL shook hands with me, and was a pleasure to see all in great spirits. I even handed Macca my kids autograph book and told him not to drop it, laughter all around. These lads know the position we are in, and will do whats needed to see us ok this season. They too read the forum, so all im asking is for us to give the lads a chance in this difficult time, they will pull it around. Lets put our support in them. AL has the lads behind him, and I fully back AL and the lads to get it right. So lets look forward to better times and not let us be despondant. We all know how many games have gone by without a win, I have faith with the players, we just need a break and it will happen, sooner rather than later. A lot of fun last night, and want to thank them all, and even Mighty Mariner was in his Xmas kit, a great night had by all, well done to all that made it happen, kids loved it. UTM

My information - for what it's worth - reiterates these sentiments.  I am led to believe there has been a considerable lifting of morale and the general mood around the whole club and AL is receiving much of the credit for this.

We continually hear about fine margins, about all that's needed is a slice of luck, this system rather than that system etc etc  Levels of commitment, style of play and performances are all very well but it's all about results.

One week things were improving, AL might be the answer.  Next week we get beat badly by the top team and AL is disaster.

The result against Carlisle is just that a result, it will not provide all the answers but a positive result will pick the mood up especially with PH due at Blundel.

I will be on the train @ 0620.  I will be partaking of liquid refreshment by noon.  Will I be reflecting on a positive result on the 5hour journey home ? I hope so because if so, reading The Fishy when Just Back at 00.45 is so much better after a win.

Come on Town. UTMM.

I know this is hardly the Christmas spirit but much as I appreciate the morale stuff and what they were doing for the kids - I would still rather see Scrooge and 3 points.

All very well but how confident are they on the pitch!

Last chance saloon for Limbrick for me today, I am sure a good guy but we need a win. Lose and that would be enough for me and even with a season ticket I will be 50:50 to go to the Scun game. We all want him to succeed and so I hope today is the day. Sadly not a popularity contest utm

Echo what was said about fine margins. The first goal would give the players something to hold on to.
