I listened to it

Nothing of any real help though

JT said Limbrick might be a popular choice but needs to get some wins if he wants the job. No other names in the frame

Spoke about the move ( the one that’s been talked about for the last 20+ years ) and new owners. Shutes we know about but the Dodd guy who set up the Notts County / Blundell Park company is still on the scene

The one snippet JT mentioned about him is that if he gets the club there could still be room for JF to keep his hand in

Make of that what you will....whoop-de-do is my initial thought on that. My view is we need a clean break after his tenure and legacy which in short is years & years of stagnation & decline

would be very worried about Dodd, if only due to the company he keeps

Limbrick a popular choice? No names in the frame?

What the hell is going on down there? We are on course to slide out of the League again, and this is the response?

No wonder a lot of us have given up.

Don’t shoot the messenger LCL!!  ;D ;D

To be honest it was hardly an in-depth investigation that had gone on

JT said before the game last Saturday that JF was happy to let Limbrick take one game at a time & didn’t mention any timescale

Even though it was another goal-less defeat we have to assume JF is still just as happy 🤔

I’m sure “the board” have this all covered and their master plan will be revealed in due course 😅

Sorry, of course I wasn't referring to you at all - and thanks for the info.

What a shower they are down there - it makes you weep.

Not sure how Limbrick can be popular, he has been a disaster for aninterim manager. Usually you get an uplift, we have been arguably worse and so for me it beggars belief that he could be under consideration for the job

But 7 days ago, he was popular and most people were calling to give him time because the performances had improved. It's only since Saturday that the majority on here have wanted him gone.

And on that performance surely this sentiment is understandable? He seems a decent bloke, but as others have said he has not managed to change our fortunes. He has had 5 games in total now and we have scored an incredible 1 goal. If we manage to get something at Carlisle and play well then perhaps he is the right man for the job.

His only defence is that we have played Northampton (on good form), Newport twice in the cup (always a difficult side to play) and Chelts and Swindon both decent sides flying high.

If we play just as excrement at Carlisle, who have been awful this season, then he has to go surely?

I think our current situation should be pushing us into making a managerial change.

Are we just going to accept finishing in the lower regions of league 2 for the foreseeable, or actually put a plan in place, that the fans can buy into. I fear if we don’t then we will end up a non league club again

Was this goal in training or something? Don't remember it.

It is a shame you do not as it could be the last one we all see for a while!  ;D

In 4 games under AL we have failed to score a single goal, and conceded 7.

Our last 3 home games have a total attendance of barely over 8000.

Joking aside we haven't scored a goal under Limbrick's tenure have we?

Anyway on the subject of Malta I would ring the pride of Valetta, Paul Tisdale, and offer him the job. He would probably be double what Jolley was on (heard rumours he worked for free to begin with!) but would be well worth it.

Ah my bad for some reason I was giving Limbrick the credit for the Newport home game in the cup!

Cannot see Tisdale being interested in wanting the Town job sadly. He has earned a better job than us for his next club over the course of his managerial career.

Probably got a decent payoff at MK as well so can take his time if he wants to come back into management.

Well he's part of a management team that has seen GTFC score 1 league goal at home since August. It's hardly compelling evidence.

You're only as good as your last game. Should we come away from Carlisle with a resounding victory, the mood will swing full circle to 'maybe we should give him a chance' from a lot of people!

So from what it seems a new manager is not anywhere close, what are the board playing at here, they waited ages and ages when Neil Woods was caretaker manager and then gave him the job permanatly despite him not winning a game whilst in caretaker charge. They are not learning from mistakes are they, this just proves a lack of rral footballing knowledge, it is ok giving Limbrick some time but surely you still speak to/interview potential new candidates during that time? but from what it seems they have not even started interviewing yet. I really can not see a new manager being installed by Christmas. what a total mess this is.

It's called "doing it on the cheap"...hoping beyond hope limbrick could turn it round and get the results...but in the meantime they are not taking any notice of the support dwindle week on week..
It's business suicide, they should have at the very least started the interview process as soon as Jolley was out the door, didn't need to rush to appoint anybody but at least, for once, be bleeding proactive rather than the usual reactive which is always too late and the rot just eats deeper into the fabric of the club/squad...

I've just listened back to the Fenty interview on RH on the Monday following MJ's departure being announced on the previous Friday

He said that he'd already had in the order of 20-30 applications by then and said no sooner had it gone live on Sky 5 minutes later he had a phone call showing interest in the vacancy

So you would assume that the next process would have been to acknowledge those applications at least and maybe to even call in some of the prospects for interview

Just about four weeks on and no further comment from him, other than a snippet or two fed to us by JT

Has he been too busy with campaigning for the election? I presume all councillors will be heavily involved.

That thought had crossed my mind to be honest ( it seems funny writing about being honest when talking about a politician  ;) )
