Cooper has no class and when the Veggie ones money runs out Veggie Rovers will drop like a stone.

If there’s any truth in this then this is far more offensive than the fuckladen rant.

He’s denied that he’s said it. Why do you assume that he’s lying?

Because it is Mark Cooper

You don’t just make up something like that do you ? Embleton comes across as a decent person whenever I’ve heard him so I know who I’d believe.

"Cooper and Edinburgh were "close friends" and both the referee and fourth official had confirmed to the club that neither had heard any such remarks during the game."

I don't like FGR or Vince or Cooper particularly but even if Edinburgh's name was mentioned it is hardly a hanging offence. This Embleton bloke sounds as though he has an enormous chip on his shoulder.

Having said that I don't like Cooper, he is a damn sight better manager than some we have had recently so we don't have a lot to crow about.

Doesn't seem out of character for Cooper, from what I've heard about him.

What exactly is this  "absolutely disgusting behaviour?" supposed to be?

I clicked on the link expecting to see Cooper had floored him with a right hook or something similar.

Allegedly some words were exchanged during a match. He better get a thicker skin than that if he wants to manage in the football league.

Well you don't make jokes about someone's dead manager.
Do you?

Well my reading of what bit there is  in the BBC link - if he did actually mention the name of Edinburgh, which is in some doubt, it was in the context of the other bloke’s standing as a manager. That is - being complimentary towards Edinburgh in comparison to Embleton who says he said “Who do you think you are, Justin Edinburgh?”. So either way there really seems no case to answer. Embleton has either got the wrong end of the stick or taken it the wrong way or he is doing some stirring. Perhaps someone else knows more but it seems like a fuss over not much.

Hundreds of Town fans sang about Brian Laws' deceased wife.

I didn’t go to that game, but a Scunny fan asked me about it the following week and I could not justify it in any way. I was pretty appalled when he told me, although incredibly he seemed convinced it was just the moronic element only and he wasn’t even slightly accusatory to me for being a Mariner. At the end of the day all clubs have tools, but even your biggest rivals are decent people in the main.  That was awful behaviour, though.

Whilst deplorable, those 'hundreds of town fans' were not employed in any professional capacity in the same way Mark Cooper is, where you absolutely have to be mindful of what you're saying.

I would add, at the moment have you any proof he said what is alleged?

Hitler came across quite well, and more than a couple of people believed him too.

Absokutely none mate, and I'm not suggesting there is any truth is these allegations, just merely pointing out that chants from supporters and managers comments are very different things.

This. There's no joke here. Or disrespect, as far as I read it. At worst it was clunky and ill-timed, but nothing more.

Indeed.  The way I interpret this is the sent-off manager acting like a toddler, and trying to use a dead man as leverage in getting sympathy in to the bargain.
