Painful as it was, I would take a repeat of the Cambridge result. What kind of team can he put out to make us hard to beat, but carry a threat? Not sure on availability and injuries. Do fear we don't have enough squad depth to make a game of it.

What options do we really have formation wise? How about a 433 that can drop into a 451 when under the cosh?

Will Pollock be suspended? If so he needs Ohman fit and could then go with Waterfall, Davis and Ohman with Hewitt and Gibson at wing back. Then Hess, Whitehouse and Clifton with Cook plus......who wouldn't take a 0-0 right now!

Assuming all the wounded are still wounded.....

Macca
Hewitt    Davis     Waterfall     Gibson
        Clifton   Hess  Whitehouse
                      Robson
                Cook     Rose

Nothing like what we'd go with at anything close to full strength, but for me that's making the best use of what we've got available.

Telling that for me, Pollock, Hanson, Hendrie, and two of Ogbu/Green/Wright all get in the team and make us stronger.

Losing our front 3 is horrendous. Take Salah, Mane and Firmino out of the Liverpool team all at the same time and it'd affect them too.

That looks a decent shout to me Tommy. I had totally forgotten Robson and as much as he was poor last night he'd definitely be in my team. Guess Ohman might make it as he was ill rather than injured last night I think.

Strange as it seems a 0-0 backs to the wall could begin to galvanise the team and provide us with something to build on. Anyone know the potential availability of Hanson, Ogbu, Green, Hendrie, Wright.........if none available I would go 4   5   1

                  Macca
Hewitt      Ohman     Waterfall         Gibson

Clifton     Robson     Cook  Hess      Rose

                              Cardwell

No, it doesn't inspire me much either.........

Cardwell? Scraping the barrel.

Yeah I'd go with Aguero.

We could use Aguero!

But yeah a nil-nil backs to the wall, bodies on the line, leaving it all out there spirited performance would galvanise us... The thing is, pull it off and hailed as possibly the start of a bright new dawn, lose unluckily or unjustly by the odd goal and the vultures will be out saying we set up too negatively inviting pressure.

The way our confidence and form is right now, and looking at theirs, although I'd like to see free flowing attacking dominant football (we all would) a backs to the wall and hope to catch them on counteract setup would really be the sensible option.

Im sure Limbrick would like to show us all his real football ideologies but needs must.

A draw coupled with a battling seige mentality, in it together, sweat blood and tears for the shirt performance would be one hell of a result right now.

I know we all want more from GTFC but you've got to deal with what's immediately in front of you. And carry on like a limp biscuit and we sinking into trouble.

We need to see some spirit and heart, we need some positives to take even if result isn't what we wanted.

Hoping for draws? what the fook has the club fans come too.

May as well give ring a run out now on left mid as surely got to be worth a shot, least he will not have to defend.

Maybe start with both Russell and mckeown in goal and then fill in the rest with waterfall, davis, Hewitt, ring , gibson, ohma n ,pollock, hendrie and hess? ;D

That sounds like something Jolley would do

Sorry to bump, but intrigued what people would go with tomorrow? Players and formation. Do we have 11 to get a result.

To be honest I'd go with Cardwell too, he'll run all day and be a nuisance, I'm not expecting him to score but he can help to defend from up the pitch aiming for a shut out.

I reckon we gotta park the bus and aim for a draw, it's not ideal but with our injury position I reckon it's the best we can do.

Sorry to be so negative

Cardwell is prolific at Sixfields

However, if we have a couple of Hanson, Green or Ogbu available it does change the complexion of the game. Get Mooro to get the cortisone out!!!!
