Does this international weekend extend to the Tuesday after as well? Because that also would get in the way of a potential rearranged FA Cup game

Unless we manage to get the Cheltenham or Newport league fixures rearranged quickly ( and bearing in mind there could be cup replays dictating the midweek fixture programme ) we could go from mid-October to early December without a home league game

I know there are calls for mid-season breaks but before the winter has even started??

49 day between home league games as it stands.

These postponements won't be doing our cashflow any good, especially if there's a poor turnout tomorrow due to the weather.

We need to make this subject a sticky!
Latest game called off along with the latest reason.

To put a positive spin on this lack if games - we had a pretty good start to the season so we’re in a sort of mid-season pre-season again now so we might come back strongly again.

What is the record. Is this a contender?

I was in two minds to come home to watch that game or the Swindon one,

Any bets Swindon will be on ?  ;D

My understanding is you have to have 3 players on international duty to postpone a game.
The report names King, Mcnamara and Marsh-Brown as the international players involved.
Marsh-Brown is the interesting one as he has not appeared for Newport in a league or cup
game this season, not even been named among the subs.
So why has the game been postponed?

Could cause us problems as sides of our “quality” don’t usually deal with backlogs well

I would think the said player would have played if the other two were away .

I get your thinking but rules are rules  ;D

To put a negative spin on things we'll be facing a massive fixture pile up which will put a strain on our squad with the usual guaranteed starter's likely to suffer from fatigue.

Add in possible/likely further deep Midwinter postponements we could easily be under even more duress. FA Cup run maybe also.

Seven signings needed in January to help us cope!

It's funny that this season is the only time I can remember with there being no call for summer football? ;)
