Thursday and Friday. Yellow weather warning. Whole of Northern Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire. Don't shoot the messenger. Risk of flooding etc.

Bored to absolute intercourse of this.

Have never been known to Labour a point but...

.....has it been noted how many rain affected games we've had since Waterfall was signed  !

There's probably some sort of Gypsy curse going on here. Tends to be the case in my experience. We probably need to sacrifice a chicken or two in the goalmouths.

It's all gone to rats since the mounds were removed.

At least we are not conceding goals every week.

The downside to this is that when we do play all of our postponed games we’ll be conceding on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Plenty of cocks sitting behind the goal area in the Pontoon stand ;)

A waterlogged pitch due to a gypsy curse eh !!. Didn’t Barry Fry once remove a gypsy curse at St Andrews by peeing on the corner flags.
Hang on .... peeing on a waterlogged pitch might not help. Any other suggestions ?

No chance at the moment.   The poor fookers will be knackered.
They’ve spent most of the last week getting all excited when a rocket goes off.  Only to find out it’s just another false alarm.  ;)

Do we have covers? Because it's in for the night and beyond this

Leaving them off, Jolley wants to hang it out til the January window opens before we play again  ;D

Doubtful already according to Sharon at the club.

Well Saturday could be off and the league game is in some doubt as Newport just need 1 more international call up to ask for a postponement
Posted by: moosey_club, November 7, 2019, 8:43pm; Reply: 18
Whilst i know the club will want to leave it as late as possible to give it every chance of being on but i hope they will be realistic with any potential pitch inspections given the travel time of the opposition supporters.

I'm hoping they've left the covers on and will lift them at lunch tomorrow to allow the pitch to breath...rains supposed to abate as of tomorrow afternoon and stay dry through til Monday...I'm getting withdrawal symptoms now and the leghorn wants me out the house..  not given me a reason, just wants me out the house!!🤔🤔

They don't let a bit of rain bother them in the Ukraine    ;D

Looks just like the 1970s. Derby v Leeds at the Baseball Ground?

It’s drunk down all night and looks set to rain a bit today. Not sure it’ll be on. Have we ever had 3 postponed in a season let alone in a row?

Shame we couldn't say the league game against Newport counts as the fa cup too, a winner takes all.

Plenty of time to drain, not much more rain in the forecast. Match should be on!

Not sure if it has been mentioned on here but if the Newport cup game isn't postponed there's vouchers in the Telegraph for reduced admission.

Adult - £15
All  Concessions - £8
Unaccompanied Juniors U15 - £5
1 FREE Junior (14 and under) with a paying accompanying adult

I don't know exactly many games were called off, but in 10/11 we went 6 weeks without a Conference game (although we played a Trophy game v Redditch in that time)

Winter of 62 / 63  was the worse can not remember how many games called off but it was a lot snow and ice for  more than  2 months  over the whole of the country and they had to extend the season.

On the bright side the weather man says dry from 5 pm this afternoon to after the game so pitch should be ok.

Remember it well Pete. The local leagues were split into 2 on resumption. Stan Harrison ( don't know if you remember him Pete-Park United ) was livid as Park Utd 2nds won 1 section of the 2nd division but it was decided that they couldn't be promoted as Park Utd. 1st team were in the first division.

I suspect that the cup game will follow shortly  :(

As long as the pitch has been covered for the last 24 hours and it doesn't rain tonight I think tomorrow's game will be fine.

Is there any danger of the EFL rearranging the postponed fixtures before the winter months?  Can see us having a nightmare January and February.

Our small squad is certainly going to be tested with all these games backing up.

As far as i am aware we only have covers for the area near the Findus, at least that's what the telegraph reporter tweeted me before the Cheltenham game when i asked the same question.

At last, the rain here in Cleethorpes has stopped.

Little chance of rain from now until teatime tomorrow   :)

Yes Park Utd was the best of the local teams,

I was still at school then and played for Grimsby Boys then the Juniors ( with Harry Wainman )

Whatever happened to him ? ;)

Sorry to bump this...
With all the rain tumbling down yet again, anybody know or heard if the game may be in danger of being called off??

Today’s game??

Shouldn’t think so unless it turns biblical!

I’m in Northampton and no rain at the mo - just grey and damp and light drizzle really
