Jim Bentley, the longest serving manager in the Football League, has left L2 bottom club Morecambe to join AFC Fylde.
Always admired him for keeping Morecambe afloat but they've been threatening relegation for a few years and it looks like their time may have come.

Good news all round He has kept Morecambe up o.n a shoestring and Challinor has got the boot
I can not see Morecambe surviving now.

Challinor was into amdram. Only problem is he misunderstood it when one of the luvvies told him to ‘break a leg’.
