The Sun newspaper has an article claiming
Everton are keen on Grimsbys 17 yr old left back Joe Hope . Is he one of Neil Woods young guns . I’ve never seen his name mentioned in the Telegraph ??

17 years old if he’s good enough he’s old enough after yesterday defensive display perhaps he need a chance on the bench

A bold move to 1) quote The Sun as a source and 2) admit publicly to reading The Sun.

Sounds a decent player should we have him in the 1st team with Matty.

We could not do any worse than the last few weeks.

IF he does leave, there will be no Hope here!

Our left back hasn’t been a problem (when he’s been picked)

I'd never heard of him until 23 seconds ago, but we should tie him to a 25 year contract now and make sure Bill Kenwright doesn't buy the sell on clause for a couple of musical tickets, or something.

I’m not sure The Sun have any sources in Merseyside or not ones that would be prepared to make themselves known to the public.
