Well, that went well. Hewitt is on the bench (having played virtually every minute of our last few games including last Tuesday’s Leasing con Trophy against Scunny), Clifton is on international duty and Waterfall is is cup tied.

Jolley out if you ask me...

Same here but getting confusing-just thought the Kosova fullback scored own goal for Macclesfield and Whitehouse came third in the 8-20 at Epsom.

Posted by: Maringer, September 10, 2019, 8:39pm; Reply: 25
Macclesfield are better at passing the ball around than us and have some nippy and tricky wide players who are getting lots of space and using it well.

Gibson, Robson, Hendrie and Green aren't up to it at present. Good thing is that they aren't as good as Crewe.

When you play 3 in the middle you need them to do the work of 4. Ours are as effective as two.

Sounds poor and when we do get a bit of possesion unable to hit our players in the box (get the impression we don't have anyone in the box when we are attacking anyway) :-/.

Hopefully we'll live up to our second half billing this time, can see there being something done at half time to counter them cutting in with those two pacey players constantly

They had 39500 there three seasons ago against L1 opposition, I would think there'll be at least 35,000. Especially at a tenner a ticket.

I'd be surprised if Chelsea get that many -  they have 4 home games on the trot - Sevilla, Liverpool, us and then Brighton.

That is a lot of dosh to splash out down here - I'd say 25k.

Chelsea, however, do generally get decent attendances for these games against crappy teams like us.

If you read it carefully that is a breakdown of the prize money awarded in 2017.The headline refers to 2019-20 but the context is 2-3 years older. I hope I'm wrong as £12k is a nice little bonus

We used to drive and park in the car park at High Barnet Station and then get a tube in from there.

Its about the furthest north tube station, saved getting into Central London, and the Tube Trains used to run till pretty late and regular.

Been a while but done it a few times for previous Town games at Chelsea and Arsenal.

I always go to Cockfosters when going to London, BUT I've looked and whilst you only have 1 change (at South Kensington), there are 25 or 26 stations on the way to Fulham Broadway!!  Even the first 12 to King's Cross takes 30-40 minutes, from memory.........

There's actually a quicker and simpler way to get to Chelsea from the north. Get the overground (colloquially known as the Gingerbread Line), from Watford Junction or Watford High St in the direction of Clapham Junction. Get off at West Brompton and walk the rest (you can also change and get a tube from there if you're feeling lazy). It's only 16 stops from Watford.
