433 or 442 ?

I think we will start 433 with Cook in midfield.

This refs killing this game for me. Blowing for nothing tackles and missing things right under his nose. Its going both ways but more against us.

One of our midfield three needs to push up more and sit behind our front three, Vale have got a man in that space all the time and hes winning all our short clearances and picking up on loose balls.

Both dedences keep cancelling each other out and a gritty battle in midfield is limiting chances.

Looks like Pollocks coming on. Hes out in his kit warming up with one of the coaches.

Posted by: Maringer, August 24, 2019, 4:03pm; Reply: 16
Davis flattened off the ball and I think he landed on his shoulder. Hopefully, Pollock will be able to cope with their nudging and shoving which seems to be a major part of their game.

Going 442 so soon after our 3rd has killed our momentum and let Vale in. All 4 midfielders especially the "wingers" are sat far too deep.

There is a thread for former players. Don't think we need live updates of some random trialist or somebody we had interest in one time scoring.

Would have probably been better if we didn't instantly take Green off when we had some momentum. Just inviting pressure.

Wahey! Surprising but fantastic scoreline!

Impressively, that's 5 points picked up from losing positions already this season. Only 1 off last season's total already.

Less interestingly, the same goal pattern as last season's Tranny game I think.

I thought Green forced his way past the defender to slot home and Wright's pace and back pass was the highlights for me in this much needed win. I feel that when we play with pace, teams struggle to contain us and we definitely seem to have more fire power this season than last, with some well taken goals, really pleased with the result and our rise up the league, long may it continue.

I feel like Oliver, please Town can I have some more

Indeed and 3 of them from open play.
BTW, where are the Boy’s Pillock and Yoda? Has Yoda finally shoved his light wand up his backside and turned himself into a standard lamp? Is the B’s P sitting in a corner sucking his thumb because there’s nothing to whinge about? Maybe he’s at the cricket relieving himself?

Not at all, your Swinwatch is not working correctly, I commented only last night on our scoring 5 goals, what the intercourse do you want me to say? It's not jeans-creaming yet is it? That said I have neither praised nor criticised at all this season, I am happy to sit quietly and see how it goes. If you want me to rave about the good start presumably you won't mind if I weigh in when it goes mammaries up. However as you seem to want my input here it is:

As far as 'excellent' is concerned I'm not getting all excited unlike some about W2 D2 L1 in the league. Its better than most and promising but its too early to start promotion talk (although I notice some have) We should have got a point at Forest Green and Bradford were not the promotion favourites that was predicted and were there for the taking. Good to see we can come from behind, lets hope we don't have to do it too often.

We are top scorers with 9 out of the 10 goals coming in the second half, if that carries on we'll be coming from behind rather alot. Have we got a bit of the Cowley way in our play now? Big man up front and Lincoln have been specialists at second half bullying?
