Good luck to them both, Eighth tier. Game time will be great for them Max Wright/Harry Clifton's first loans were at a similar standard so surely can only be a good thing?

So assuming...

We make no more signings before Saturday...
Jolley picks Russell over Battersby as sub goalie
and Cardwell and Gibson are out injured.

That leaves us with 18.

Macca, Hendrie, Davis, Ohman, Green, Hess, Hanson, Whitehouse, Cook, Rose, Clifton, Vernam, Wright, Ogbu, Ring, Hewitt, Pollock, Russell.

Is there a starting XI thread yet?

Looking at it on on paper like that you see how thin we are. We really need at least two more good players or we are going to struggle (badly if we pick up early injuries).

We didn't sell Curran, they expressed an interest but haven't made contact with the club. As far as I am aware.

Totally get the need for these lads to go out and get game time, not overly disappointed that it's at Tier 8 either as game time is game time.

But as others say, it sort of highlights the depth (or lack of) in our squad when we're sending lads to that level when it's likely they would have been in and around the match day squad most weeks.  There's a lot of games between now and January so can only presume that Jolley is very confident of bringing in a couple of other faces before the window shuts.

Either that or Jolley is confident in the likes of Starbuck and Idehen if required for a call-up.

There's a part of me that worries me if we do get a few injuries but then there's another part that would love it if we just showed total faith in our youth lads and backed them to deliver when needed rather than sign players who will only feature a handful of times.
