I wouldn’t be surprised if they do win the next election.  But the only chance of getting someone to consider the country’s interests went when Stewart got voted off.

If Boris can be strong enough not to apologise for ‘hurty’ Comments, to not bow down to Political correctness and cultural Marxism then we could have a great leader with our own version of Trump, but first of all he needs to get us out of the EU hell hole, he does this then he’s in the job for another 5 years.

Try looking at it from another angle we could end up with a general election and end up with Corbyn propped up with the SNP! So Pray the clown or *unt gets it right.

with our own version of Trump.

I reckon you might be right, he definitely seems to think that's the way to go what with his Monday Telegraph column being his own version of Trump's twitter feed, their similar dubious pasts, political flip flopping and his meetings with Steve Bannon. Who knows maybe in a years time Trump and Boris Johnson will be spearheading a war in Iran like those shadowy American military dinosaurs have been wanting for decades.

I can understand people have firmly held right wing views, but if you think Boris is trustworthy Grim you’re very naive. The guy is a self-centred careerist with only a passing relationship with honesty. The guy doesn’t give a stuff about Brexit. He’ll say anything he thinks people want to hear. He said he would lie down in front of the bulldozers to stop Heathrow runway 3, yet he was part of the cabinet that approved it.

He doesn’t give a excrement what people up north think, especially poor ones.

We do not have much of a choice,

If Hunt gets in it will be like May had never left,

Its more likely Boris will get in and he will go round insulting all and sundry a bit like a mini Trump.

At least Town might have a good leader in Shutes ( I hope )

Sadly have little faith in either of the options. May MKII or a power seeking rat who'll just say whatever to gain it. Suspect a closet Remainer despite all the postering

Johnson is an absolute gobshite. He only decided he was proBrexit last minute. He claimed it was a finely balanced decision based on the pros and cons but he launched into the leave campaign like he had no doubts - probably a technique developed at Eton’s debating society (ie it’s just a game).

Hunt is a no mark but Johnson would be an absolute liability.

If a Johnson vote ’offends’ the lefties then he’s clearly the man we need.

Anyone else think Jeremy Hunt looks too much like Fenty to be trusted

Max Hastings comments about Johnson tell you all you need to know about the man.

Hastings, lest we forget is about as Conservative a journalist as you can find and, as Johnson's former boss, his comments about character and suitability for power are pretty damning.

Hastings thinks Johnson is basically a sociopath which tallies with everything we've read about him over the years.

The man can't open his mouth without lying. The nonsense about making buses from wine crates and painting happy people on them is beyond satire
