There are 50 year old Trabants chugging around Berlin streets as we type.

Heard this today from Big Chris...quite a reliable source generally.

I wonder if one is the "significant" signing that we just missed out on in January ?  At the time Jolley said something along the lines of could be revisited in the future.

Popular rumour had that as being David Meyler.

We could have had David Mellor playing today, he couldn't have done any worse.

Where is Meyler based? His missus recently had a baby so would joining Town mean uprooting?

He lives just outside Swanland, wants to come back to the area for personal reasons and town are the only club locally that have offered him anything .

Injured at the moment-can't afford him anyhow if he wanted same as what he's on now.

It’s more important to keep your best players than risk new ones. Unfortunately we lost Almond Nsiala. Nolan and many who were here on loan but not converted to our players
If u end up endlessly looking for new people who are no better than what we have you get what we now have

I’m still waiting for a hairs on the back my neck standing up signing.

I’m also waiting for a 6’7 Scandinavian goalkeeper.

If we have signed 2 players already then great. It makes a great change from waiting til late and signing the dregs.

If there's any truth in two signings at this stage, it's more than likely to be out of contract renewals. Who else is on the list?

May be worth a look . Blair Henderson . Edinburgh City Scots Div 2. 24yrs old 6ft 4ins. 37 goals in 44 league any cup games this season  .I know it's not a good level but that scoring rate for any team deserves merit and looking at .

And there it was gone, another shred of optimism, vanishing into the air  ;) :o

Is that really a) a good reason for him to come to Town or b) a good reason for Town to sign him

There are numerous such players up this neck of the woods who could do a decent job in D2.

It's been decided to let the Fishy die a long, lingering death. Let's get super-Hooper back, sack Jolley by tea-time, stick with Fenty otherwise we may get someone with no clue who will drive us into near-oblivion and the good old personal insults...it was fun while it lasted...
