Now I've heard it all. He's even looking away from who ever is taking the photo. Not only did the FA rob us with a sending off, but also make a mockery of themselves with this explanation.

You couldn't make it up. Though someone advising Mr H must have done. Allegedly.

The charge was found not proven after two members of the three-man panel believed the photograph had been "misinterpreted" and the other said the "only plausible explanation" was that Hennessey made the salute.

6,000,000 people died in the Holocaust, perpetrated by the Nazis, and two members of the panel think the photo misinterpreted his salute. It's little wonder that racism is rife in the game nowadays when you have two feeble minded clowns trying to worm their way out of physically doing something to remedy the situation.

More than that died Jock. 6m was 'just' the Jews. Another 5m Gypsies, Communists, disabled people, pacifists, gays etc.

I couldn't agree more well stated.

The FA just want to bury the story because if he were proven guilty it would be highly embarrassing and potentially expensive in lost ££££ from countries like Israel etc etc .

And that is all they’re bothered about ££££££$$££££££$££££

I’m not defending him but he hasn’t used that as his excuse, he basically says he was waving to the photographer and covered his mouth . The ‘I don’t know what a nazi salute is’ bit is an add on. Should have just stuck to the first bit but has now discredited himself fully

1) That is not a Nazi salute his right hand is showing a palm up
2) It is a still shot photo with no context, if this was a video no one would think it was a Nazi salute.
3) Why do we have to talk about flipping Nazis? We defeated them 74 years ago less talk about them the better.
4) You seriously believe Wayne Hennessey is for the genocide of Jewish people? Or it is just an out of context photo in a bar under the influence of spirits..

Christ.

Bollox. No one has straight shoulder, elbow, wrist, palm and fingers when trying to get someone's attention. You also don't cover your mouth to try and carry sound. It's not really about the act, it was dickish at best, insensitive and a little insulting at worst. It is the fact that his clear and obvious lies have been bought/complied with by the cnuts at the FA to try and avoid further embarrassment. I think they should have just acknowledged it and warned him as to his future conduct, then everyone could have just moved on.

Poor choice of word-Christ when discussing Jews.
No, I can't believe Hennessey doesn't know what a Nazi salute is. I was also comparing the FA decision to have VAR at Selhurst Park. Hail Hydra!

Why are we going on about this? Do we really give a excrement? What do we want, the bloke banned for life or the Palace result reversed because their keeper may have (but probably didn't) thrown a Nazi salute? Presumably we have finished crucifying Joey Barton and need another target

I note there is still a reference to VAR and the sending off at Palace too. For felicitations sake can't we just get over stuff like that, we'll be talking about the Bristol Rovers keeper in the playoff final next.

Obviously struggling for something to write about and the season hasn't even finished yet

1) Is very specialist knowledge. Not a lot of people know that.
2) How do you know what people would think if it was a video? A video could have confirmed or denied or shed no further light on the matter. How do you know he wasn't goosestepping around singing the Horst Wesel song? Why do you feel the need to defend the muppet?
3) Yes, let's just forget it ever happened eh? But let's make sure we know the correct protocol for the Nazi salute.

If you take the story at face value there will come a point at which people don't know about ww2. I met someone the other day who had never heard of Elvis Presley. What seems obvious to one generation isn't necessarily to others.

Perhaps that was a Nazi salute he did that stopped us scoring. I know I was Feurious at the time.  :)

I’m conflicted with this Nazi outrage as I’ve always looked at Nazi impersonators as a way of laughing at them, Freddie Starr did this brilliantly, but sadly he wouldn’t be able to perform the routine today with the SJW brigade. I should be able to attend a fancy dress party as Hitler or one of his SS troops and take the urine out of them just as we would dressing up as a Roman, all the flack Prince Harry got was absolutely pathetic. That’s not to say that I don’t condone raising their arm at the the football or anywhere for that matter in support of Nazism which is purely to incite! They are two  different things for example I recently went to a fancy dress party dressed as jimmy Saville not in support of him but to ridicule his existence.

Take the Labour MP clown David Lammy he’s getting a lot of flack lately for comparing conservative MP’s to Nazi’s, this at a time when members of the public have been arrested for calling MP’s Nazi’s, when people in the public eye have lost their jobs for calling councillors Nazi’s. Now I cant stand David Lammy I actually despise the man but I will defend his right to free speech, what we should be doing is laughing at him and his ridiculous comments, laughter is a powerful message or something like that a member of monty python recently said on their anniversary of the brilliant life of Brian.

He's 32. I'm only a couple of years older and I first covered the subject of WWII in junior school. It's not like he's a young kid or something and besides, how many movies have been made about WWII? Hitler was even a popular meme for god's sake. His excuse is ridiculous, he should have just come out like "Sorry, I had a few drinks and thought it was funny at the time but perhaps it was poor judgement for a professional footballer. I do not support racism and if anything I am mocking the Nazis" and it would have been cool. Maybe would have got a fine, make a public apology and be done with it. Can even send him to Israel to get some good shots of him at the holocaust museum.
