I'm sure it will be Paul Hurst to be taken over then looking in my crystal ball.

I think Slade would do a job there....he could be a Mariners legend!

Hopefully we are now starting to see the decline of scunny, they'll soon be back to their proper place, let Lincoln have their few years in the sun and they also will falter, then we will be able to once again look down on our Lincolnshire neighbors. The universe will once again be in balance.

Too soon, imho.  They should've given him til the end of the season.

On Twitter they seem to be suggesting Darren Moore or Adkins!

Hurst is the bookies favourites.

Adkins is Hull manager ! Why would he go to Scunny ?

Has Doig heard anything yet?

Hardly surprising McCall was sacked as they are on a very poor run... only 1 win in last 6 matches. Can’t get much worse than that.

There's nothing like a long term perspective.

Swann rang JF for some fellow major shareholder advice .... "no manager is more than 6 games away from the sack " was his reply  ;)

Let's hope he is giving them advice like he gave Lincoln when they were in danger of going down in 2011.

Aren’t we currently 6 games with 0 wins?!

I would think a whoosh might be in order.

I had a quick look on the Scunts wiki entry today. It turns out that under Fenty we have never finished above them. Last time we did was in 2004 when we got relegated from L1 and they finished 22nd in L2.

Then JF took over and in 2005 they were promoted. Since then we have not even been in the same division as them! At one point they were three divisions above us, them being in the championship while we were in the National League.

15 seasons as Scunthorpe's poor relations. Shocking.  That is the measure of how badly the club has been run.

RonMarimer, is that 15 years out of over 100 years, I think that's not a bad ratio in our favour. Here's hoping the next 100 years are the same.

15 years out of 15 is a pretty bad ratio though!

Maybe they meant they wanted Dave Moore back? ;)

Funny isn't it that McCall was League 1 MOTM not so long ago.... just shows that curse is still around

I see Barmby has gone there for the time being in some kind of coaching role - not a bad move for them but will he have the time to put his plans into action?

2 points off the relegation places with 7 games to go... certainly going to be interesting over the next month or so
