I know you talk sh1te for fun Swin it’s a ‘routine’.
But why buy a ticket not wanting to win it. Why not just donate whatever you spent directly to the mission. ??
I think you’d love to win but as always try to be controversial !

I was going to donate direct to the Mission as I posted earlier but I didn't know how to do it and frankly I couldn't be arsed to find out and it was so much easier to buy tickets on the GTFC website and pay with Paypal

And I would NOT want to win it, what the intercourse would I want with it? Its a hideous lump of plastic FFS. My idea of collectable GTFC memorabilia was the Mick Cullen silver promotion plate a couple of years ago Sadly I was outbid with some ridiculous bid that was unfortunately a genuine one and I didn't get it

Fortunately the more we raise for the Mission the smaller and smaller becomes my chance of getting lumbered with Jolley's paperweight. If Fenty's doing the draw he'll probably make sure a Fishy person wins it just out of spite ;)

Good luck with the book Swin. Google took me to an article you wrote for Cod Almighty about the 8-1 defeat to Hartlepool. Very amusing and another reminder of how fortunate we are in the number of Mariners of a literary bent. Many 'Just Backs' are  quite articulate pieces in themselves.  Poets, artists, scriptwriters and musicians abound. Pete Green's recent article about Freemo is another example. Not bad for a poet and musician!

Sadly no. If it was Gy or Meggies local history I might have tried for a signing but its based in Amsterdam (much more desirable for a book launch  :)

Might do on the next one as its based partly in Immingham and Cleethorpes

Barca by Jimmy Burns is worth a read.

The Man who saved Barcelona - The Remarkable Life of Patrick O'Connell, written by Sue O'Connell £14.99.

It's an absolute belter of a book and tells of how Irishman O'Connell went to play for Barca after a career in N. Ireland and England

The stories surrounding Barca and the Civil war and O'Connell's desire to keep them going at all cost have to be read to be believed.

I think the Francoists must be logged in today Jock. Dunno why else anyone would red-cross your post. (Or maybe it was the Commintern Stalinist lackeys of course  ;) ).
