Slightly off topic but could be related.
Just thinking before the match yesterday IF we ever do move ground a great way of generating more cash would be to sell off the seats and other memorabilia.
One hundred and forty year plus history, me thinks there would be a massive interest all round the world ex pats etc for a piece of Blundell Park.
Some really golden memories over the years what would you guys like to take as a memento from the old ground if it did happen??
The last game there would certainly be an emotional one. :'( :'(

For me the fact the headline is 'Grimsby Town could be sold in the sooner' raises potential questions over the quality of the journalism.

I remember when Manchester United relaid their pitch a few years back they held a competition to win parts of the old turf on which memorable moments had happened. Little squares of grass were encased in a glass box. A bit of an OTT example but I bet there'd be people interested in buying sentimental items from BP should we ever move.

Think this may be a little bit of a red herring TBH.
I think the sale of the club is what we all dream, the likelihood is that JF has bought another Starsky and Hutch jacket for the Q&A (recovered from the Club, obviously!!).

The only rumour I've heard is that Jolley is to be given a 2 year contract.

Ah yes, that faceless organisation. Without a name of who is writing their material it all has to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Steve Livingstone was at the last game, maybe the club are going to give him a testimonial after all?

When the wooden seats were ripped out of the main stand, they were sold off.

My stepfather got hold of a load of them and was having cast iron benches made up with 2 seats on, wonder if anyone on here bought from him, would have been late 80's....

Baghdad Martyrs fans taunt Basra City with that old favourite, 'you're Shiite and you know you are'.
