Obviously don’t wanna risk Clifton but Woolford did a fine job last week, Dennis not ready to start but expect to see him last 20 mins atlesst

Surprised we haven’t gone for a natural CB with 2 on bench left out over RH Johnson

Why o why Collins when the others have been fine.

Wonder if Hall-Johnson has been brought in to man mark Amond.

Why is Dennis not ready to start. He can't be unfit. The lad is only here for 16 games so get him on where he can do some damage, he can't score goals sat on the bench.

If he is marking Amond he will he hugging the touch line as Podge is sub!

Am guessing with macca welsh and Davis not in team Collins is started for a more natural leader on pitch,

Guessing Dennis has only had one day training and prep might of already been done for match before yesterday.

Saving him for the cup replay,

With a bit of luck we will be too far ahead so he will stay on the bench.

As much as I thought Dennis would have started, it's nice to see the manager repaying Cook for what I thought was a good performance last week!

Some good options off the bench for us today. Got the same feeling in my gut I had before the MK Dons and Colchester home games, reckon this one is in the bag lads and lasses.

Some good football from us today though we've been a little too tippy-tappy in midfield at times. Feel that Newport are about 80% committed and they are going to be a threat from set pieces in the second half when they have the wind.

Hopefully, we can keep the good possession up and Thomas will get the chance to make amends for his poor penalty.

Poor. All over these bunch of cloggers and failing to get the job done. Need to take those chances. Going in 2-0 game is over, but we've given them a massive boost with missing that pen. That pen miss will come back to haunt us as it will shift the momentum.

Outside right of the back three. He does keep getting very forward and when he does one of the midfield three fills in the gap.

Looks like we’re more or less safe now so Jolley can have the lads playing with no pressure .
It’s great to be winning so many home games after decades of being pap at home , even under Hurst we never seemed to play very well at our place .
Let’s get these new players bedded , work out his best team and have a real to at it next season

Seb Ring has a very good game today, his best game at the club by a mile so far and will only get better

All the team had a great game will be hard to drop Cook next week now and I can’t see Thomas being dropped so I expect Dennis on the bench again, great competition for places now.

I expected us to win today (their midweek cup tie plus I think that's 7 away league defeats on the bounce) but I'm pleasantly surprised with a 3-0. Nice one Town - and top half too  :)

Also pleased to see Cook notch a couple. Genuine competition for places up front now.

Brillliant performance from everyone. Think Hendrie was superb and plays with lots of passion and Öhman must be made of steel the guy is too good for this league.

Jordan Cook though deserved MOTM never stopped running and everytime he got the ball something positive happened.

Could have been more their keeper saved two certain headers from Whitmore and Öhman.

Yes, and with Yeovil ,Cheltenham and Swindon up next we might clock up enough points  this month to secure our safety this season with a dozen games to spare.

I think the real question is how close we can get to the top seven.

If we were Lrimsby instead of Grimsby we'd be top of the league apparently.

Liverpool top the Premiership

Leeds top the Championship

Luton top the 1st

Lincoln top the 2nd

For good measure, Leyton Orient top the Conference , and btw, there's only six teams whose names start with "L"

Wasn't there some talk a bit back of changing the Town's name to 'Lottersby' (or something like that)
because of the number of lottery winners we had?

So I blame the council...  ;D
