It's pretty clear the ambition from the board.  Although not a fan of the wages they are paying for some.  You never know it might have a negative impact like when it happened to us.

Yup. So if your floodlights are ok, and you don’t have benign loans to service, you can use any money from a cup run to improve your squad and take your club forward.

It's called riding the wave of success and opening your sails to the wind and see where it takes you....unlike us who threw the anchor straight off the side of the boat at the very hint if any success...

Gates of circa 10,000

The other revenue that generates

Bet their recent successes has also brought them better sponsorship deals

EFL Cup money

FA Cuo money

They’ve outgrown us massively in all areas in a short period of times. Doesn’t matter how plastic their new found fan base is, they ain’t plastic anymore. They’ve almost sold out in season ticket sales alone.

It’s staggering

Not to mention the additional 13 new directors or associate directors and the value of shares they've bought that goes straight into the kitty..

They are rolling in it at the moment because as already mentioned, cup runs this year and last, new directors double our attendance, plus the investors are probably happy to put some money in without expecting to have most of it paid back.

As much as I hate the Cowley's touchline antics and their recent assaults on opponents, what they have done is nothing short of remarkable.

Someone on here referred to them last week as media whores but look where befriending the media outlets has got them.  Constantly out in the community, attending schools and inspiring the next generation.  They did an interview where they discussed how when they arrived people were training on the pitches next to the ground in Premier League and Barcelona shirts but now they wear Lincoln shirts and that was their ambition when they arrived.  Success breeds success of acted on correctly and Lincoln has much more going for it than Grimsby and Cleethorpes, making them a much more attractive investment.

When we got promoted, we should have pushed the boat out to ensure Amond was retained.  In the main part our recruitment has been terrible but it is only through standing by a manager that player turnover can reduce to an acceptable level.  Hurst disposed of that Conference team too easily for me.

They struck lucky with the cup run but invested it in a training ground that we could only dream of. Unfortunately, if we had a similar cup run, we would all be clamouring for Fenty to pay the benign loan meaning that in reality, the football club would see no improvements.

Got to wonder what if any debt Lincoln had when they were in the Conference (pre-new regime). If they had no equivalent of the 'benign' loans then they were clear to invest once the good times came. To use someone else's metaphor, we had a ruddy great anchor.

They are on the up and we're on the decline, they have a knowledgeable board who can attract investors we have a board who don't have a clue

It’s called good management we are sadly lacking.

Ive lived here for the last 20 years and the last few i have seen first hand how Lincoln have transformed, The Cowleys are everywhere in the community...totally engaged in schools and local business, They have built on success on the pitch, made quality signings and wisely invested transfer fees for raggett woodyard and cup run money. Everything has just snowballed. Bottom line is they are top draw managers, have been everywhere they have managed and it wouldn't surprise me if they end up in the championship.
Lincoln owed the coop a load of money before the Cowley's got there and that's partly why they struggled to compete.
Unfortunately, we just didn't have the wherewithal to capitalise on operation promotion, backing Hurst at the time and to take opportunities to further engaging the community and fanbase to gain momentum.
We are stale and have no energy off the pitch. Badly need a new stadium, investment and a proper off field operation to have a chance of catching them.

We're a smaller club than Lincoln now. No doubt about it. Third biggest club in Lincolnshire, what a flipping joke we have become when excrement like Lincoln are a better and bigger club that us. Fair play to them, Scunny staying up, and we're on the decline yet again. Sad days, the new norm or maybe not so new thanks to Sheldon.

Lincoln City, a 'How To Do It' guide.

'Any potential investors, you are welcome' come on board they say.

Fenty, impossible to work with 'my way or the highway'.

They are lightyears ahead, and all of a sudden, a far bigger club. Yet again we are overtaken as we fester in our backward ways.

So as much as I hate it, this another Lincoln thread is highly relevant as it highlights the polar opposite to our board and o ly just down the road. We've already lost two millionaires and rejected God knows whoever else who willing to invest. Parker, the Mullen and the rest would have been welcomed with open arms at Sincil Bank making the Club much stronger, like they should have done us.

It's like banging one's head against a brick wall, yet Fenty's mate says 'We are a very well run club behind the scenes' and bestowes the party line that Freemo bad for the club.

Bad for Fenty more like.

'Lincoln has much more going for it', yes, but the football club were nobodies. Ours is famous and renowned with partisan passionate supporters - you would have thought investors would see the potential there just from the history and how embedded the club is (was) in the psyche of the locals.

We may be short of 'sleeping giants' but a positive backed assault on the leagues and the groundswell of support it would generate as we take over away grounds would bring national attention and acclaim.

With the amount of Lincoln "fans" who come on the Fishy, just think when we start being successful we will get 9/10 thousand home supporters.

Just taken a peek at Bury v Lincoln on Sky, the missus walked in and asked if the telly was broken as the bottom half of the screen is blank, I told her Lincoln were on so the ball wouldn't be in that part so I switched it off.

For those that haven't seen the lowlights of there game yesterday, nice to see them cheat themselves to another point....10/10 for the dive in the box that got the penalty....I hate everything about the way they play, cheat harrass and bully.... Shame because I would give them the kudos they deserve for being top of the pile if they played good football and didn't have that scruffy, whining knob Cowley at the helm..

I'd stop watching if I were you.
They've obviously got right under your skin.
Would be interesting if town were in a similar position,I'm sure the opinion would be different.

From the angle I saw... It looked like. The Lincoln lad, once clear the the defender clipped the back of his own leg with his right boot. Perhaps not an intentional dive but certainly not a penalty.

I do have sympathy for the ref on this occasion though as in real time that would have looked like a stonewall oe alty from his angle.
