That account is dedicated to the site of the three northern tower blocks, a site nowhere near big enough. We'd need the site of comber place and the three southern blocks just to squeeze in something the size of Plymouth's ground.

But we'll wait and see....

Now come on , do you really think that NELC would do ANYTHING to improve an area in the town or build something that would deliver a payback for Grimsby .
You must remember they have nominated themselves as being one of the best councils........brewery Is a word that fits beautifully into the sentence I'm thinking of.

To take this thread on a slightly different tangent i see our joke of a council have stated they plan on spending half a million pounds replacing paving (again) and trees in the town centre, absolute joke imho 😡

Wasn't Hewitts Brewery somewhere in the vicinity. With all of the microbreweries in place we could have a micro stadium holding up to 5000 spectators with the option to extend to 25000 if we get into the Premier

The account is about Freeman Street and nothing to do with the tower blocks? Wouldn't be for the Freemen to be leading any announcement on a stadium, they don't own the land the flats were on.

Probably announcing that they are changing the curved lampost designs supposedly reminiscent of sailing ships into lamposts that look like wind turbines in homage to the new industry now working from the docks  :-/
