If we beat Mansfield Tuesday we will only be 5 points behind a team that have only lost 2 games all season, who before the game are sat in 3rd place. 4 of the 6 teams above us all play away on Tuesday aswell. Trying not to get to ahead of myself but what an opportunity it is to really put ourselves in the mix.

We're only 8 points off automatic promotion and 14 off relegation. Eveey season in this league there seems to be a team who starts terrible and then puts a run together around December to rise to the play offs. Exeter did it recently, could it be us this season?

I think it very much depends on this transfer window, we have a small squad and a few injuries. The lads did brilliantly yesterday but it’s a big ask to continue to put in performances like that week in week out. We need 2 or 3 quality additions, keep hold of Embleton and Hendrie as well and we will definitely be looking up and not down.

Lets enjoy the run we’re on and not think about anything else just yet. If it comes to march and we are only 3 points for example off the top 7 then yes we have a great chance. But i’ve seen our fixturess for January and we’ve got a bloody tough run!

If... we get carried away the wheels will coming flying off, everyone will return to the previous squabbling we had on here and the dogfight at the bottom will resume. January is going to be extremely difficult for us. We are playing the current top 3 in the division, starting with Mansfield, and we will also play FGR (play-offs) and a seemingly resurgent Macc, not to mention Premier League Crystal Palace.

We could quite easily get next to nothing from January, a pasting at Palace and be totally sapped of energy and confidence come February. Clearly, I don't want this or think it will happen but as someone else said, let's see where we are after January.

I can't remember if we even registered a shot on target apart from the goals yesterday whilst they had 30. We are desperately short of match fit defenders currently and have a suspension to contend with (I have seen some talking about an appeal - it looked like a straight red from behind the goal yesterday).

Let's get a positive result on Tuesday so we go to Selhurst Park full of beans!!!

If ...we lost to Mansfield but Lincoln also lost....would it be so bad ?

As much as i want us in the mix i really dont want them to get automatic so if other teams can reel them in then all the better.....want us to win but if we lose then a Lincoln loss would temper my disappointment given the points haul we have already bagged over Xmas.

They didn’t have 30 shots on target they had 10 to our 3.

Definite straight red. 3 match ban for ‘serious foul play’

No. What I do know is, it won't be enough.

Yeah, I didn't mean they had 30 shots on target - just 30 shots. I thought it was a red. The TV pictures I've seen don't suggest otherwise either so I think we won't be seeing an appeal.

Can we just concentrate on getting to 50 point please? Anything after that is a bonus

People were saying we had a tough November, then December, but we are the best team in the league over the last 10 games. Lincoln are top of the league and we battered them at BP. Not seen anyone yet who look unbeatable.

Aye. It's a cliche but let's just take one game at a time. The squad is threadbare, we've been on a good run and we've got some tough games coming up. When days like yesterday come, enjoy them.
