Just a thought I had, Grimsby being a town founded by Vikings and with Jolley's experience in the Swedish league and rumors of bringing in Swedish players since the summer for January we may well be adding Vikings into our squad, should be a selling point to them?

We have a lot of modern connexions with our Nordic brethren too. Carl Wotsisname (who gave the Boy with the Leaking Boot statue), the butter boat, Danish fishermen settling in GY, the Danish Seaman's Mission (as was), Norwegian Christmas tree....Think there are still Scandi consulates locally.

Indeed there is. Kurt Christensen is listed as the honorary consul for the kingdom of Denmark in Grimsby.
You have to wonder what harm could there be in exploring these links and the possibilities of an arrangement with various Scandinavian teams

No harm at all. But someone doesn't like the Scandinavian connection*. We've all been red-crossed.  ;D

* Incidentally, there was a series of that name on Estuary TV a few years ago, presented by Emma Lingard. They spoke to some women from SKOL - Scandinavian Klub of Lincolnshire.
