It's gone up by 75p since my email yesterday. Don't think i can afford it now.  :)

Driver must be on time and a half for night work.  ;D

As i said earlier, i used this service to Wembley and it was spot on. Can't grumble at 30 sovs to London and back, so i'll be booking.

Does that mean you can only use it if you’ve got diarrhoea?

Agree it’s a bargain though.

After such a conclusive World Cup with the introduction of VAR I’d be amazed if an emergency WC was called.

The boozing will be done in stops on the way.
I wouldn’t have posted on here if any was going to be on the coach. It’s already been discussed and agreed.

However, on the way back could be different. Especially if we get a result 😄

Yeah just football ones.

Well, “sporting events”, but I’m yet to see a coach load of people off to the races arrested and escorted back to wherever they came from.

You are not allowed to drink on London buses, trams or tubes. You can drink on the train though!

https://tfl.gov.uk/info-for/media/press-releases/2008/may/alcohol-ban-comes-into-force-on-the-tube-trams-and-buses-from-this-sunday-1-june

You are also not allowed drink on a coach which "is being used for the principal purpose of carrying passengers for the whole or part of a journey to or from a designated sporting event".

Designated sporting events including all professional football matches.

Were hoping to be arriving into Cockfosters by then if that helps your judgement. Planning on spending the day in central London before travelling to Crystal palace mid afternoon.

I'm assuming that there'll be a GTFC meeting point for a mass photo so keeping a look out on social media for that.

The tube won't get you anywhere near. Doesn't go out that far.

The nearest mainline train stations to Selhurst Park are Thornton Heath or Selhurst  which are both about a 10-15 minute walk from the ground.

Just had a quick gander at Google maps.

According to them distances from Selhurst Park are Thornton Heath station 0.7miles, Norwood Junction 0.6 miles and Selhurst train station 0.5 miles, so they're all pretty much of a muchness really with Selhurst just slightly closer.

It matters a lot. If you get a seat at the back of the stand you won't be able to see very well. It's  a very old stand that has been modified to acomodate seats.

Several options if travelling by car and not wanting to venture close to the ground.

Park at Barnet, Cockfosters or Stanmore to travel by tube to Balham and a short train ride to Selhurst or Thornton Heath.

Or parking at Cockfosters, Piccadilly Line to Finsbury Park change to Victoria Line one stop to Highbury & Islington then overland train to Norwood Junction.

You wouldn't drive through London to get there. You'd go Dartford way?

They shouldn't be able to move the kick off time where the away team is likely to bring thousands of fans and not be able to use public transport to travel back afterwards. It is as simple as that.

We need to show the FA we want them to stop flipping with football. Is there anyone out there with the nous and the willing to put a banner together? I'd chuck in at least a tenner.

On sale from Saturday, 2 per ST.

£15 adults
£10 OAPS
£5 under 18

Coaches £30 return (great deal).

Be great if we could sell that out. Grab your mates, tell the part-timers at work, treat the kids and send the missus shopping.

For an INITIAL allocation of 4000+ in London, it seems a remarkably complicated and long-winded way to sell them with general sale as late as the 27th a week before the game. What about fans organising travel arrangements? What about friends or families who want to sit together? Exiles postal tickets over the New Year bank holiday? They never think things through from a fan's perspective, just expect them to turn up however difficult they make it sometimes. Rule after rule, date after date, two tickets for some, one ticket for others, this stub that stub, this game that game. We might sell 4k or more, but as it's only an initial allocation and Palace aren't selling any home tickets in a stand which holds nearly 10k, it seems really convoluted to me and not very fan friendly over the Xmas period..

Surely it would make sense in this case to just have general sale and buy as many as you want, the club make it simple as possible and for the club to get an early indication of total demand rather than it being all last minute panic for some re general sale?

Yes, which makes it even more the daft/cynical that they've decided to do it this way. I'm part of 5 non-season ticket holders (including 3 kids) who were planning on sitting together, this way of selling them probably makes that less likely and there's absolutely no need for that to be the case.
