I see on BBC that port Vale "fans" have been causing trouble yet again. No place for it in sport by these so called fans.

Some so called Stoke fans did some damage to Port Vale's stadium.

Unfortunately I was there. Neither fans covered themselves in glory but Stoke fans were a throwback to the worst of the 70'S and as one of the fans arrested was 61 some Stokies are still stuck there.
Burslem was like a war zone and it was the Checkatrade Trophy for God's sake and there U21's.

Derby games with some proper needle are great BUT clearly this way over stepped the mark and as you point out the embarrassment of it being in the checkatrade dear oh dear :-/ :-/ :-/

There's something in the water around there.

There's a backstory to all of this - something to do with the Vale chairman threatening to give Stoke fans the Vale end.

It was the Stoke fans that damaged the toilets and ripped up seats and not Vale fans

Not suggesting that any Vale fans at the game weren't looking for trouble, just that all the trouble reported on the BBC was down to the Stoke fans.

Expect nothing less from a load of scabs. Zero morals.

Fuckk Port Vale and Stoke both equally to blame but at least stoke came here for aggro when it was like it or not the thing to do whereas vale the other month came looking for chew twenty years to late and it’s not the thing to do anymore and wanted to attack normal fans

Originally vale only expected 300 of their own fans to turn up as like us there was a general boycott, but Stoke sold there full allocation over 3000 and wanted more so the club opened part of the sidestand as well for them. This then led to a lot more Vale fans getting tickets to try and save them being so seriously outnumbered. It really was like going back to the 70s/80s and despite over a hundred plod involved they totally failed to control them before during and after the game inc one poor woman had her car written off by a Stoke fan jumping up and down on the roof  chanting  a couple of hundred yards up from the ground after the game and not one copper to see it. >:(

In the 70s away fans used to "take" the home end, now they have to settle for the toilets

Not normally a "lock them up and throw away the key" type of person, but would make an exception for these morons. What's the point of vandalising a set of toilets ffs?

Whats the point in actually vandalizing anything at all!?!?!

They'll probably just get a bog standard ticking off  ;)

Any chance of a friendly with Stoke, put their fans in the mainstand, they might improve the bogs in there.

All this violence at a Check trophy game, best to cancel the competition in its entirely.

Strange lot them Stoke fans. 4000 turning up to see their Under-21's in a competition no one (apart from Lincoln) give a toss about!
