If it's true I'd assume we have someone lined up as otherwise we'd have held onto Dixon just as a contingency wouldn't we?

Fox has been playing in Europe for 4 years so IF his partner is in USA I wonder has she recently gone over there?
He is 25 now and facing a few more years of lower league journeyman stuff. IF he can get a decent job and play soccer over the pond then why not? H eisnt going to earn much here for a 'posh lad'

If true, will provide us with a good opportunity to strengthen the squad with a higher quality signing. Two wages saved should facilitate some budget if there wasn't already some. We could do with three or four in IMO.

Fox is decent, has done ok and owes us nowt. Needs to do right by his family.

Agree with all of that. A pacy, attacking full back would really improve us. Whether we can sign one is another matter entirely!

Wasn't there a pre season Max Wright was playing left back a a bit?

Anyone know where abouts he's been playing at Boston?

I think Fox did very well for us last season but, with the best will in the world, he's never going to be a wing-back. Jolley was obviously planning to use this formation at the start of the season but we didn't have the wide defenders to do so. Hendrie looks like he could certainly play in that position (possibly even filling in on the left if required), but if Fox wants to move and we can replace him with a proper left-sided wing-back then all the better. Not saying we would definitely end up playing with wing-backs, but having a serious option might be useful.

I watched Boston a few weeks back against Hereford and Max came on late and played out wide on the right but he had been out the team for a match or two with an ankle injury.Don't know where they usually play him.

I know a few slappers from Louth if that’s what he needs to keep him here till the end of the season

I got told he'd served his time as a brickie and has managed to get a job outside football somewhere between the USA and  Mexico.Don't know how true it is so story could have been trumped up.

I hod guessed this might happen but I will be mortar-fied if he goes, wouldn't want to block his progress. I' ll lay money he will be able to play at a decent level in the u.s.a

Well there is a wall to build! Think legs are being pulled here.  Didn't sound remotely like any brickie I've ever met in his post match interview on Sat. Fake news?

Lol FFS keep the lad here the amount of silly free kicks just outside the box we give away we need a good wall builder.

Has he cemented a deal in the States?  He has the right foundations to build a new career there.

The story could well be fabricated with Fox just blowing out his chimney.
