I see that as pretty close to our strongest team.
Davis starting is a bit of a shock given his long lay off.

Watching maidenhead v Portsmouth and Brett Pitman has had 4 shots in 10 minutes. I wonder if our strikers will match that in 90?

I agree especially with Cardwell, I know a few on here don't see what he brings to the team but I think theres something there and he brings something different to the team and could be that big target man we are missing at times.

Good line up . Pleased to see Cardwell back . He could be the player to lead the line that Thomas can play off . I was impressed by him at Swindon last season and thought he’s got something about him .

He's not there to take over as manager, he's going to buy Fenty out with his payoff from Ipswich. (who said it couldn't get worse?)

Nolan and Toto not in the squad for Ipswich today, so they'll be here on loan with three days!!

Defending from collins was awful for that goal, just so casual, assuming it would roll out and not shielding the ball properly. Always shield the ball till its out of play and that goes double when its about 6 yards from your own goal! A single goal deficit, as we know all too well, is a mountain for this side to climb.

Getting so utterly tired of hoping for a 0-0 every single game in the hope we might sneak a last minute winner.

Really want Jolley to succeed but something has to change quickly.

Same old, same old, stupid mistake at the back, no one in the box to finish when we cross. Buckley saying theres no passion in the game and more like a friendly, what happened to teams fearing coming to Blundell Park. :o
Posted by: Maringer, November 10, 2018, 3:56pm; Reply: 39
Really, really stupid error by Collins which led to their goal. He could have just stood in front of the ball to stop their player getting it but instead did some sort of bizarre step over which allowed him to nip in, get the ball and cross for the goal. Ludicrous to concede in that manner.

They were well on top for the first half hour and missed a couple of chances before the goal (decent save for the first) but we played a bit better in the last 15 minutes without threatening too much. A couple of weak shots from Embleton straight at their keeper and lots of crosses into the box which came to nothing (forward line no use in the air).

BFS look better than us, unfortunately. No outstanding players but they are all pacy, comfortable in possession with good movement. A couple of quick lads up front. Money talks and they've signed better players with it.

Nobody has had a stinker for us, but I'm not sure where the goal is going to come from.

Perhaps mix it up with Cardwell with 25 minutes to go?

We have recently beaten the 2nd and 3rd teams at home.  Colchester were the highest scorers in the division, and MK Dons have the best defensive record (by some margin).

We need to improve our performances and results against the so called lesser-teams.
