Where are all the bignott with badges and Jolley must go brigade now ?
I'm sure you'll be back when we lose again or even sooner with the red crosses...just asking  ;)

If you thought 6 straight defeats and hardly any shots on goal or indeed goals was the mark of a great manager in the making then you are obviously brighter than all us lot put together.

I might add even Michael Jolley himself said he was in a very difficult position. It is the way with football management - lose a few and you are likely to be sacked, win a few and you are a hero.

Nobody knows if Michael Jolley will be a success. Nobody. We all hope he will be but that is another question altogether.

After the 6 game losing run I did say give him a little longer to turn it round,

I am glad I did because he has,

BUT

We need a few more players in before we can challenge near the top,

Lets see what happens in the next transfer window.

He clearly decided after the home game against Morecambe to change things - Woolford, Welsh, Hess & Cook started that game, Clifton, Rose, Vernam & Hooper replaced them and those players have repaid his faith in them. Some bold decisions and the odd penalty save and here we are, up to 19th - when we're challenging for the play-offs come on here and gloat again, no-one will be happier than me.

Ten points from the last 12 available is good form. However, its still ten points from the last 30 available.

It’s 15 from 42. Slightly better.

I'm sure all but the most miserable of the arch-miserables would love to be proved wrong.

Always said stick by him and support him, even after that 6th defeat in a row. He seems to have and be the exact type of manager we need. So (I'll repeat what I've said before) stick by him and support him Unless (which I don't think will be the case) we're in serious chance of relegation.

So does Mr Fenty get any praise for sticking with Mr Jolley, I would guess his finger was probably getting twitchy.

I did not want Jolley sacked but in today's game results mean everything ask Hurst he'll tell you.

It's bound to go soon, averaging 46 appearances and 25 goals a season - he surely can't keep that up much longer. It would be awful if it went just as he was about to sign for a top 6 Premiership club or even worse just before his England debut

I'm sure his knee will be just fine, it seems to be ageing much better than your prediction skills.

Not many players damage knees sitting on the bench all the time

I suppose he does deserve some. Well done Mr Fenty.

Now that would also mean it was his decision and his alone, so every other important decision would be his too. And that works both ways.

"Board decisions" is what he'll no doubt tell you.

You set up with a negative 5-4-1 with a side that can't create and you'll not win many games. All MJ had to do was swap Hooper for Pringle and keep the 4-4-1-1 with Vernam playing closer to Embleton. Cambridge are a very very poor one dimensional side and we barely matched them. We need at least two creative players (Embleton and Vernam) on the pitch who can beat players as well as Thomas who holds the ball up well. If not, we are too static and one dimensional in our own play. Let's lay the Hooper defending prowess myth to bed after their winner today. Seriously, if you were a scout for GTFC, what positive attributes could you say about him? And those two crosses he passed to their keeper when, if he got his head up, he could have picked out an unmarked Thomas both times. He wasn't under any pressure, it was just pisss poor play at 0-0.. Drives me insane that he gets picked every week and gets defended after we scraped a couple of close fought wins. Said before our play is built upon poor foundations of only concentrating on what we do when we haven't got the ball. We can only be solid for so long if we are poor with the ball. It's like a hot potato every game unless it's at Mitch Rose's feet apart from today when Pringle showed glimpses of class and care with the ball.

Really bored of watching this disjointed crapp with a manager picking sides that are hell bent on only stifling the opposition. You end up losing games like this one, the one at Crewe and the ones at Stevenage and Newport. We need to be more expansive while holding onto to the hardworking attributes we have developed without the ball. MJ has got to find the right blend and the right line up soon or else we could be seriously in trouble. Can't see us getting owt at Mansfield and so the rot will set in again. Everyone's on about lack of goalscorers, I think we need more goal creators on the pitch who'll provide more composure, creativity and inventiveness on the ball before moaning about who can put the chances away.. If a team can't create clear cut or half chances, a forward can't score them..
