I am posting the following by request:

I am writing on behalf of a group of volunteers who serve free refreshments before Crewe home matches at Gresty Road Church, 100 yards from the ground. We will be open from 12 noon to 2.30 pm this Saturday and would love to have some visitors from Grimsby. The church is very easy to spot, and the entrance is the first right turn off Gresty Rd (Hewitt Street). Along with the free tea/coffee, savoury snacks and cakes, we try to talk to every person who comes through our door and give them a warm welcome.

I would be grateful if you could pass this information on to your forum members. I hope you enjoy your visit to Crewe should you be attending.

Best wishes, Steve

Could be worth going and making a donation, might get God on our side for once.

Crewe have only conceded 2 at home all season so we could so with some divine inspiration given that we are the division's lowest scorers.

How dare they prey on vulnerable people at a stressful time like going to watch Town play.

They could have packed the place with Town fans if only they had said,

Free  Beer and wine  ;)

Surely the building’s purpose should be respected.

So not FISH but ICHTHYS.

Handed two flyers when I arrived at Gresty Road - one for the free refreshments in the church opposite the ground and one for the Blind Beggar pub round the corner - I opted for the pub - I still need `saving'. But nice to be welcomed as an away fan.
