So, the final total of entries was 53 which gives me £530. On this occasion I will be donating £100 to The Mariners Trust which will leave me with a prize pot of £430.

1st prize pot will be £250  which will be won by the team or teams who reach EXACTLY 21 goals first.

There will also be the other usual 3 prize pots of £50. One for the first team or teams to score nil for 3 consecutive weeks, 1 for the team or teams with the lowest score when the game is won and 1 for the first team to sack their manager during the course of the game.

For the final pot this can only be won if a manager is sacked or "leaves by mutual consent" If a manager quits of their own accord or resigns to take another job that will not count.

I will then be left with £30 which I will give away as a consolation prize starting from week 5, so if you are languishing in  mid-table with not much hope of winning the 1st or lowest prize, then you still have a chance of winning a prize. I will announce further details of this prize later on.

Good luck to all and thanks again for another great response.

Excellent foresight Sir!

Ipswich have sacked our old friend Paul Hurst, so £50 will be winging it's way over to Aussie Mariner.

Just been made aware that Barrow have no game next weekend as they lost in the 4th Qualifying Round of The FA Cup, so they will score a default 2 goals, which means that only Bolton will have a chance of winning the "3 nils" prize next week.

Well, Bury are scoring goals for fun at the minute with another 4 today to pull further clear at the top of the table. They will have to score EXACTLY 21 goals though remember to win the first prize. Also several default 2 goals this week, with it being an international break.

I do still have an extra £30 to give away though and I will start a game within the game from next week. It will be the same as I used in the last game and it will give all entrants a chance of winning a prize. Any team that scores 1 goal will go onto the next week, when if they score 1 again they go onto the next week etc etc until only one team remains. If it gets to the point where none of the teams left score 1 goal then the prize will go to the team that score the LEAST goals. If two or more teams score the same then it will go onto the next week but will go back to teams scoring 1 goal. If the main game is won first, then this part of the game will carry on until a winner of the £30 prize is found. It can only be won outright and wont be shared. Hope that makes sense.

Week 5 table below, check your team and let me know any queries.

I suddenly had a thought then. It's FA Cup week next Saturday, are Bury still in the cup?

I looked on next Saturday's fixtures and couldn't see them but they are playing Luton at home on Sunday.

Bury drew a blank this week and Norwich fell 1 goal short of winning 1st prize.

In the "1's" consolation prize game there were a few teams who lost in the 1st Round of The FA Cup and didn't have a game this weekend, so by the rules of the competition that has scuppered their chance of winning this prize. Of the 18 teams that had qualified for this week, only 4 (Millwall, Bolton, Bournemouth & Brentford) have qualified for next week, There are also a number of teams in the running to win the lowest score prize.

Well the first prize of £250 has been won by Supertown, as Bury scored the 2 goals they needed and Norwich bust by scoring 3. The lowest prize is not yet settled though.Ipswich are not eligible as the rules of the competition are that you can only win one £50 prize but Mrs Wizbit and Grimal are guaranteed a share but Mariner Jase can also claim a share of the prize if Wolves draw a blank tomorrow. The "1's" prize has been won too as of the 4 teams still in with a chance of winning, 3 of them scored 2 goals and AFC Bournemouth drew a blank, so as per the rules of this game, if no team scores 1, the prize goes to the lowest scoring team, so Stuart White wins the £30.

Thanks to everyone who took part again, well done to all the winners and hard luck to those who didn't. Final table below, I will be back in the New Year to gauge interest for another game.
