Think I'll give the Halifax v Chesterfield game a watch (17:15 BT Sport) to see how much the mighty Chesterfield have fallen.

Having a day and night out in Glasgow and then off to Newlandsfield (home of Pollok FC) on Sunday to see Auchinleck Talbot in the Western League Cup Final vs Lesmahagow Juniors. One of the biggest mismatches on paper that there's probably ever been in a Junior Cup Final, so hope it's not going to be anything bar a significant Talbot victory.

I will enjoy Saturday with my son as no football game for me.

Will enjoy next Saturday with the visit of Exeter.

Missing Col U game as going away for the week with The Missus and son that week.

Here's to 6 points out of 6.

Hoping always,

U.T.M.

Went in on a Saturday in August, admittedly the Summer, but it was dead. It's dying there.

I'll be shovelling 2 tons of topsoil onto the back lawn to level it. Once they've been wheelbarrowed round the back of the house which is going to take 30 journeys I reckon.

Can't wait.  ??)

i shall be directly supervising the staff for a change - 1 of my stable lads hasn't been mucking out to a sufficient standard, the head gardener needs to sort out the vegetable garden and lower paddock, whilst I simply must tour my estate and wood lands with the gamekeeper.

or else i might just go to the pub

A Cleethorpes fish and chip shop is offering hungry locals the chance to win free fish and chips for the year if they are able to take on an epic challenge this weekend.

Papa's Fish and Chips are holding a special all you can eat contest this Saturday at 4pm, where they are hoping to crown their very first Fish and Chip Eating Champion, who will gain the privilege of free fish and chips for a year in their restaurants.

Dubbed the International Fish and Chip Eating Contest, it will see contestants try and eat as much fish and chips as they can in just ten minutes, with the person who has eaten the most being crowned champion.

Likewise.Love the lower league games.Football how it use to be eg more about fan power than rich business investment flooding in which makes a mockery of what true sport should be about

Well......nice afternoon PSG.....good atmosphere, good beer and nice food. Well played sir.

Bumped into a few lost souls this afternoon in Meggies....quite funny considering i know most of them grumble about watching Town but we were all lost without a game to watch.  ;D

Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for coming. We were rammed and underestimated how busy it wouldn be so apologies if you had to wait or struggled for somewhere to sit / stand.

We got quite a few town fans in (plus a certain Dave Smith!) who would’ve otherwise have been at Mansfield.

Slightly longer than 20 mins to be fair 😎but on a positive most people seemed normal folk going about their business , one or two beggars but nothing out of the ordinary and other than having to do a marathon for a urine in spoons it wasn’t that bad of a experience.

Decided on a whim at 3pm Saturday to go to Sheffield for the night. Caught the bus to the Pier, passing Message in a Bottle en route, which looked rammed as we went past. Got a train to Sheffield, booked into the Travelodge, and was having a pint and a pizza at Craft and Dough in Kelham Island by 7pm. Then a bit of a tour round the pubs, which were mostly reet busy. Luckily, it was unseasonably warm and most folk were outside in the street, or in the beer gardens.

Woke up to heavy rain, so got the tram to Meadowhell for a bit of shopping and lunch. Ended up in Ikea after that looking at sofa's. Got back to the train station to find a replacement bus service from Sheffield to Scunny, which was a pain, but not a bad weekend all in all. Footy would have been easier on the wallet.  ::)

I didn’t have a madras in the end. I had a chicken phall. Shouldn’t need to explain what I’ve been doing or where I’ve been all day today.

I did have a Madras on Saturday night. It was ok, but nowhere near as good as the Madras I had in Birmingham 4 weeks ago after the Shine On festival I attended, featuring Shed 7, Happy Mondays, Embrace, Cast and The Wedding Present.

If anyone cares the Rugby (see OP) was a good experience all round - the highlight's, the ref radio - thought that was fantastic and he has so much respect from the players, even calling him 'Sir'! And the obvious highlight, sat drinking a beer in my seat!! They have got a lot of things right with the matchday experience and its very much more relaxed and family orientated, does at times make football seem like its stuck in the dark ages, sadly especially the BP experience.

I think the drinking in your seat part is outside the control of football clubs and the FA - isn't it illegal to drink alcohol in your seat at football?

The ref mike thing is a good idea. It'll force refs to discipline the players who harangue him, which in turn will change players' behaviour.
