Fishy peeps.  Please forgive this merciless plug but as a long time Fishy user (more of a lurker these days) I hope you won't mind if I give you a quick heads up about our new business Docks Beers.  You may've seen our hoarding above the Osmond end goal.  We're the new brewery and taproom in the Church on King Edward Street near Grimsby Tesco (corner of Fotherby St).  We are now open for business - including Saturdays and we would be delighted to see Town fans for pre- or post- match pints. Along with me and fellow part-owner psgmariner (he of Message In A Bottle fame), our bar manager Jamie is a big Town fan and never happier than chatting all things GTFC.  And Axholme's latest Town beer- 1878 Pale Ale celebrating the 140th anniversary of the formation of the Mariners - was brewed here.  We have our three new Docks Beers plus four other craft beers on the tap wall, a selection of craft cans and four hand pulls with real ale (currently featuring Axholme's beers). We also do wines and spirits. So whatever the result against Vale tomorrow come celebrate or drown your sorrows with us and then swing by Message in A Bottle, or vice versa!

Opening hours:

Mon Closed
Tues Closed
Wed 12pm-8pm
Thurs 12pm-8pm
Friday 12pm-11pm
Saturday 12pm-11pm
Sunday 12pm-4pm

Best of luck with your new venture mate. Sounds like the ideal sort of thing for the GY area generally (as well as that part of town). Ticks many boxes. Artisanal business, potential β€˜exports’ (to rest of UK), leisure related, food and drink heritage and expertise and not least locally owned so profits stay in the area.

My old man worked in KE St for many years.

Popped in Saturday. Good selection. Nice bogs too! If you like Willys, you'll like Docks Beers.

So I'm looking forward to my first visit to Docks Beers and maybe Papa's as well in the same day - again like Docks Beers I haven't been to yet

As for Docks Beer has anyone been on or know of anyone that has been on the Tour of the place??

Looking forward to my visit on the 4th of May - just debating whether to do the last home game as well , , ,I guess it would be weird not to as I'm already in Town!

Always a good pint with plenty of choice. Good atmosphere, with couples and families besides groups of blokes.

After a long trip to a match, we like to call in before a game.
