On the main BBC news at lunchtime today they run a story about Brexit and Brits living in Spain. They interviewed a Grimsby Town fan who runs a football themmed bar called "The Mariners Bar". The bar was full of GTFC stuff as well as pictures of old Grimsby trawlers.

The same bar was then featured on Look North afterwards.

Sure that it will be repeated at teatime if you are interested in watching it.

I remember watching the bar on TV when it was featured on the  Channel 4 series "A New Life in the Sun" a couple of years ago.

That's the one GyiS. He said that he sold his bussiness in England to stay in Spain. He spoke with a Yorkshire accent.  His wife showed off the GTFC stuff and said that it was her stuff.

They are both Codheads born and bred and Steve and Gill are both GTFC fans, even though Steve does have a fondness for Dirty Leeds.

Yes, they used to run the coach and horses and the six bells.

Was in there in July and Steve didnt have much time for GTFC at all, more interested in Leeds....he did say that he had a massive amount of respect for Disley who had personally arranged for some memoribilia to be sent out but said the club hadnt done a thing for them and in fact....he had received allsorts from Leeds , hospitality packages, VIP tour because he either mentioned he supported them or had his Leeds top on in the original showing of the TV programme.
